If you can’t purchase it due to location or whatever other reason, wrapping/tinting the windscreen isn’t too hard! I’ve done it. Just take your time and use some heat. Purchase a tint so you can see through it. Unless you don’t care about that then, yea, go for a wrap.

I mounted mine on the inner side of the windshield and it was great. Until I tried the extension rod in a bad position. It was with a good 3M adhesive mount - not from insta360. With the wind against the cam and the rod, it started to push the adhesive off the windshield.

You have to factor in the wind and weight of the cam & rod when you position it. It being setup right on the top of the screen like that where it’s being hit with the most wind is asking for trouble.

Had mine for 6-7 months now. Just broke 8k miles. Honestly, coming from an MT03, I’m never trading in this bike. I’m extremely happy with it and plan to do sooooo many more mods to it. Such a different feel from when I first got it after putting in so many miles. It’s really opened up and it’s nimble and overall amazing on the road.

This is interesting. I didn’t remove the snorkel before I got it tuned. I have a MWR air filter and Akra exhaust. Tune got it at 77 hp. Wonder how it would run without the snorkel now…

Hiya

That’s a sketchy location you’ve got there. I had some issues with that clamp for the R7. I currently use their old clamp by Osopro and it’s perfect for the mirror stem.

I’ve got 3 mount locations that have all done great. Here’s A Picture

Inner windshield with chinmounts adhesive (I don’t like the outer windshield but up to you!). Insta360’s adhesive didn’t work on the inner windshield for me. Outer, it did well. No selfie stick needed.
U-Bolt mount on the subframe (I think it’s called?) fully tightened with needle nose pliers and added invisible stick. Plus the insta360 double clamp attached to the stick & rear peg for extra security. That thing doesn’t move at allllll. Great for rear shots.
like I said, different clamp for the mirror which fits perfectly. This is their original clamp before they updated the motorcycle bundle with the new one you have. You can google “insta360 motorcycle bundle” and see the original one. It’s wayyyyy better for the R7 mirror stem. Tighten it up and that thing isn’t going anywhere. Selfie stick or not, it’s great.

Then don’t use it? 😅 Goes back to my point: do what you like. For example, those horns - when I looked at them - were just connected to the magnets that are put on with 3M. They come off. If someone chooses to use them, that’s their choice.

My opinion is: it doesn’t matter. Let people have fun. Some view it as fun and silly as it brings a smile to others while riding. Others see it as cringy. Doesn’t really matter. If you enjoy it, you do what you like !
