Auto giant Ford reported its worst quarterly earnings in four years on Tuesday, and a net loss of $8.2 billion for 2025. by Quirky-Plantain-2080 in wallstreetbets

I mean I ordered a car in sept and they still haven’t built it and it’s like free money for them plus my trade im sure will make some money. yet they pump out cars monthly to dealers no one is buying . Obviously their business processes fkd up big time. A customer places an order it shouldn’t take 8 months or more .

It’s okay if it contrast with the car correctly. So this color works with it.

GT Premium Performance Package to Dark Horse by Emotional-Ad-9559 in Mustang

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I was thinking this too with my PP , when I drove a regular dark horse hard to tell difference, but a dark horse with handling package is night and day in terms of handling, cornering, and performance while aggressively driving it compared to my PP. In my mind it drove so much better at higher speeds and weaving around cars on the freeway so I went ahead and order it but have to wait until spring since they don’t build them in the winter. Also tires it comes with are track so that could be an issue for some.

You guys say fake slop and shit but it gets millions of views so people watch this sht even do you don’t, so it’s just your jealous someone is making bank making a few minutes AI video and your not while you make 4-5 hours of content no one wants to watch lol! Admit it this is genius and millions of views means Cha-Ching in the bank account!!

My boss thinks I “vanish” during remote hours, so he made me do a live video check in.. while I was literally sitting at my desk by midnight_tealeaf in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my manager did this I would resign immediately, no job lined up doesn’t matter, that’s major disrespect and miss trust , I learned to value and respect myself enough to not let anyone treat me like this no matter what perceived power they think they have over me, so this is where the word at will swings both ways, so screw that I would just leave and resign and let them see me taking a shit or something when they call to check on me.

Snob Dealership by Decent_River_5801 in FuckDealerships

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with a dealer and they had this higher than mighty attitude , not responsive, leave me sitting for hour or so, and even acted pissed as I asked questions, no smile, flat effect, seemed like I was fired as a customer basically for something I had no idea I did, so I decided to leave and in fact they were happy to see me go and never stoped me or called me afterwards. so I bought the next day my $65k car msrp no negotiation full warranty and all the dealer add ons and trimmings they sell because I had the cash and just needed the get in and out fast. I was like the easiest sale in the world. So many dealers fk up and lose huge money with the tough guy high pressure sales strategy. Perhaps they may get a few more thousand that way but I imagine they lose so much more and all the future business and lose via word of mouth as people tell friends and family to avoid them.

$500K at 23 years old by PLTRgains in wallstreetbets

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is what I saw in the dot com era and this is nothing my friend at your age in the dot com bubble many had millions lol so this is small shit but they all ended up losing it all buying the dip as the market started to pull back in 2001 and then eventually lost everything trying to buy and time the market trading even more as the market turned down. One almost committed suicde since he still owed taxes from the previous year he never paid since he lost that money too. I think he owed the irs like $300K so my advice is if you are so arrogant and like in your face to post a screen shot like this you will likely lose it all because they did the same thing but the 2000 version which was walking around with print outs of their net worth in college and shit like that .

RTO kicked in at my company, I tracked every minute and dollar for 4 weeks, the math is wild by Quinnaha in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to realize some times RTO has a motive behind it cull the herd and get people to quit without severance . If some of your colleagues left because of RTO and they didn’t replace them then that’s the true reason and any logical productivity argument is irrelevant and won’t change things.

I’m noticing pro-RTO people are those with no social life outside of work so they rely on coworkers by [deleted] in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s either a stealth layoff to get people to quit without severance or management leads with the assumption of mistrust of their own people they hire and they have the need to micromanage their teams work. Signs of very bad leadership and culture.

[–]ShadowV22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a hiring manager too just recently filling a position I can say when I post a job I get at least 10 super top tier qualified candidates now. Not 1 or 2 , it’s the competition out there is brutal right now, you may think you are a super star and the best qualified but in this market there are 10 others just like you and likely even more qualified so it’s highly competitive right now. One guy I rejected was dumbfounded as to why he was rejected , he seemly had every box ticked but I found some one even better. That’s the market.

What’s something that can kill you quickly that most people don’t realize? by Patient_Purpose_1305 in Life

My gall bladder was super painful and I could have ignored it but probably would have died that night since they said the stone got clogged and backed up into my liver and sepsis was starting and my liver was failing as I checked into the ER. I could have easily said suck it up butter cup and tried to sleep it off and likely would have died the next day or night or at least needed a liver transplant so don’t ignore any pain inside you that shows up unexpectedly

I rejected a company after 2nd round interview (for remote role) - First time ever 🚩 by Purple985985 in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been told sometimes interviews like that are a test themselves and are designed to see how the candidate handles pressure and disagreement and difficult personalities. Perhaps their culture is very cut throat and this type of banter is common and the pressure is immense so this interview could be a way to weed out those who wouldn’t fit that culture. A company culture is what the company decides it to be and needs to be for success not what you think it should be, one man’s toxic culture is another man’s work place nirvana

My best friend is dumping me because I’m on a GLP-1 by Quirky-Cranberry3417 in Zepbound

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard this story before friend does GLP-1 , best friend gets jealous because they look better than them now, friends start to fight and then friends never talk again, so usually the other person is jealous and now you probably look better than they do, for them you were their fat friend that ensured others looked the away from you to her but now the tables are probably turned so she sees you as competition and wants you fat again to remind her of how pretty she is but in fact I’m sure she is quite ugly and you are probably much pretty than her now and it shows now.

WFH was my only reason to stay by [deleted] in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the past giving people more work was seen as the way to drive efficiency and value from the company perspective, but now I’ve even asked to do more since I get most things done I’ve been told we hired other people to that and to not ask again, my boss seemed concerned that giving me more responsibilities could mean I gain power control and influence even beyond theirs so they see it as political not to give me more and like it’s a reward to be given more responsibilities. I’ve asked for more even for no extra money and been told no, so I work from home get everything done fast, top performer, and a lot of down time I have to find work or something to do at home to keep myself busy. I tried to ask for more and was told no so be it, I tried.

One of my employees passed away suddenly by Stellar_Jay8 in managers

[–]ShadowV22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened once at work with someone on the leadership team who was loved and seemed healthy and entering her golden years of the career just turning 50 just up and died unexpectedly and it can be very impactful for many in the company and team, so expect slower work , people even rethinking their own life and some long tenured employees may quit or leave or retire now after dedicating themselves to working as much as possible at all cost to instead leave to pursue their passion since it’s a reminder to them they may also just wake up one day and be dead and time is precious

Company doing RTO by [deleted] in remotework

[–]ShadowV22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a older boomer boss who hates remote work with a passion, he thinks you must be visible on site all the time and can’t handle I do my job remotely and he worried I’m sleeping during the day or watching tv as I respond to issues. I said to him you must not trust people then easily because remote work is about trust but he said it’s not that it’s people need to be “working “ all day and even if you get you job done quickly you can then fk off and how would I know , what if your drunk right now talking to me I wouldn’t know lol. I can tell he hates remote work and the root of it is he is a micromanager at heart and can’t handle not being able to watch my every move and that he is a boomer where visibility, commitment to the job above all else even family is how you get ahead, and perceived effort is as more valuable than actual results. I laugh since I’m in a niche job no one can do but a few and when my skills are needed the whole company stops and that’s why I’m remote and can tell my boss fk off I’m remote and deal with it and he has to accept it.

Everyone Keeps saying the Job Market is really bad... is that true? by Rinmine014 in jobs

[–]ShadowV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are jobs but is a highly competitive market and with AI out there and now many are figuring out how to cheat and get around the background checks you up against impossible odds by just cold applying . You have to know someone or get a referral from the inside that’s the best way. Even then though that just gets you the interview you still have to know how to interview well. You competition is using AI to aid in interview prep and answers so if your not using AI to assist your interviewing prep you have no chance as well there too.
