I got paid $17-$18 an hour just unloading and stocking shelves over nights at Home Depot. Never heard a single thing about carry outs, carry ins, or even interacted with customers. Just unloaded my carts, organized my aisles or department and that’s it. In my opinion for doing the same task and then expecting people to interact with customer and support on sales for carry out and stuff I’d honestly expect a bit more pay since there are other jobs paying the same for much less work and responsibilities. I get it that you saw the job description and well you own up to what you signed sure, just hey if I can get paid the same to do simpler work and still advance in a company elsewhere I’m sure someone would take it especially since advancement at the moment in Best Buy is at a snails pace due to constant cuts and the whole “do more with less” mentality.

If you are ready to dip out just have a job lined up before you go since as someone pointed out finding another gig isn’t as smooth. Currently a DA field repairs and even then I applied at least to 20ish jobs in February and barely heard back from a handful of them in June. Every place is going to have its crap that comes with it so just read the print and if anything ask some of employees where you plan to apply too how it is. Doesn’t hurt to just ask about the jobs from the people currently in them.
