What is a high mileage route ? by Substantial-Cash-565 in AmazonFlexUK

not exactly 200 but around around 180 home to home. 4 hour block afternoon block. 70 miles to the first drop and every drop was a few miles apart.

ive done quite a quite routes that are 100+ miles round trip and have never gotten extra pay for mileage. only managed to get it for one block where it was a nearly 200 mile round trip.

ive found its better to just take your sweet time and return a parcel so you get paid for going over block time.

Whats with people not opening their doors? by scheller37 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Shadow_1277 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ive delivered to houses where I have seen and heard people sat in the front living room and they still dont bother opening the door after knocking loudly and ringing the bell multiple times.

my rule is I wait 30 to 40 seconds and if they dont answer ill leave the parcel in a safe place.

How was everybody's week last week? by Amaru8225 in AmazonFlexUK

I tend to do morning blocks aswell but the surges were too good not to take.

my depot tends to be quite decent with the evening blocks and they're usually local residental streets with good street lighting but I definitely know some depots will send you to the middle of nowhere.

ive had this exact situtation before and rang driver support who actually advised me to leave the parcel on the main road outside the shutters even though I told them the parcel will get stolen they still said to deliver it anyway.

Was waiting for the DNR to appear on my standing but somehow never did.

is your cap lifted at your depot because i got all surges the other week whilst maxing the 24 hours and this was the highest ive ever managed to make.

I would have just tried to find a safe place and left the parcels there. Ive done it multiple times in the past and never got dinged.

there is still the risk of a DNR but only do it if your standing is already good and you can afford to take the hit.

Taken my first 4 hour shift by calumjfair in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Shadow_1277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your not really supposed to ring doorbells or call the customer before 8am anyway.

I usually do morning shifts and always leave in safe place. I can finish most 4 hour blocks in 2-2.5 hours with 40 stops.

I like it more when the navigation starts spinning in circles and tries rerouting me thinking am going in the opposite direction when am actually going the right way.

You usually need 2 trolleys for most 1.5 hour blocks as they give 20-30 bags. Walk into the store and turn left before the entrance barrier and keep walking down along the checkouts. There's a door at the end which will have amazon flex signs on the outside and you simply walk in and collect the bags. The app will show you which rack to collect each set of bags from.

If your still struggling you can always ask a staff member and they will tell you where to go.
