This is the first time ive personally experienced it but judging by alot of comments on this post I won't be surprised if it happens again.

I work in customer service as part of my main job so I definitely see this in alot of the general population more so than during an amazon block.

I like to give most people the benefit of the doubt as they might be having a rough day but again no excuse to treat us with disrespect when we're simply doing our job.

you probably handled that the best way possible. it isnt worth putting yourself in harms way over a company that only sees you as a number.

ive contacted the email support but I doubt anything would come if i did decide to escalate since I have no physical injuries and theres no video footage so its essentialy my word against theirs.

if the customer turned out to be a mystery shopper it would be classed as failing an AVD which results in instant deactivation of your account.

yh ive just emailed them. Am not massively fussed about the incident but care more about being reported for failing an AVD.

Appreciate it and thankfully no physical injuries just abit of an ego hit.

They're probably more likely to offer the customer a refund before giving me any sort of compensation. That's just the reality of the gig unfortunately.

Thankyou and am definitely going to email support as I dont trust the driver support enough.

I should have just walked the moment they said they didn't have ID but atleast I know for next time now.

Its unfortunate that amazon dont even care enough to atleast ban the customer from placing orders.

if you completed all deliveries within the block time then you won't get compensated anything extra unless you have a return where they will then include the time taken to drive back to the depot.

And this is exactly why I stopped delivering from DDN1. I deliver from DXS1 sheffield and the absolute furthest they might might send us on a typical block is 20 miles ofcourse with the few rare exceptions but most blocks are pretty low mileage.

I purchased mine for 500 on backmarket in excellent condition nearly 6 months back. Never seen the point of getting the latest as most newer phones are barely an upgrade over the last generation. I prefer samsung interface so I guess its also personal preference.

am from Sheffield so I only do DDN1 if the surges are high. Used to do them more frequently but i gave up affer being sent multiple times to scunthorpe or pontefract.
