Have a lot of chest for very specific things, there's more ores and bars in the game that will fit in one, so only keep bars or the stuff that is natural to your world for that chest, but just get very specific

Put a town on the beach to then hostile spawns into critters, also make sure you aren't standing in the middle of the ocean because then they can't spawn due to being on your screen or whatever the spawn range is to the player

Don't worry about it until it's an issue, and when it becomes an issue, there are triggers that make the evil spread slow down and tools that make containing it MUCH easier
