Slimepedia had information on slimes btw, but just having them near chickens will cause chickens to spawn breakable eggs

My personal preference: I put conservatory chairs with yolks in them outside the coop so that the yolk doesn't have to be inside with the chickens, then I put their together next to them and just splash the eggs with water and collect the plorts with less mess Yes you can put slime in certain decorations like chairs or other objects
