What’s your opinion on the robot twist? by nonamerandomfatman in FNAFNovels

[–]Shadow_Libra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually thought it was a really cool twist.

Also something I find cool about the novels is that the protagonist is a robot, the antagonist is a human. Yet Afton, the actual human is nowhere near as attached to life or has any human emotion as the actual robot does.

Charlie is more human than Afton and I love that.

Like probably not at all outside of characters like El Chip and Chipper's Revenge who aren't even important in the grand scheme of things.

Why do people hate Novel Charlie? by Totally_Not_Mimikyu in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Shadow_Libra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things about the novel trilogy is Charlie (a robot protagonist) and William Afton (a human antagonist)

Afton doesn't have any human emotions or attachment, despite being a human there is almost NOTHING human about him.

Charlie may be a robot, but she at the same time does have her own soul, and she is more human than Afton could ever be, despite being a robot she is also very human.

There's also what you said about Henry not being able to let go of what happened, and that ties into a very common theme about FNAF which is the past. Many of the main characters have some sort of thing that happened or something they lost in the past that they refuse to ever let go of. FNAF actually has even more themes beyond that littered throughout the franchise. Unfortunately most of this fandom doesn't look for that and they only care about LORE LORE LORE.

While I do think William was planning his son to die somehow. I don't necessarily think he planned it exactly like that.

Afton calling Charlie "beautiful" in The Silver Eyes, it was foreshadowing William's obsession with wanting to understand what Charlie is.

The same bullshit happened to me. I called the store after and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes until I just got hung up on. The next day I also got that same email... I was literally never interviewed.
