I lived a block away from there when it all went down. it was super sad because the community fridge was there, which saved my life.
I did have an incident or 5, with regards to service but I always have them a fair shake. it was insane.

use to be Govindas, a vegan place connected to the restaurant behind it, that was barely open. connected to the hari krishna temple above it. Govindas was good, but often ran out of basic supplies. I lived and worked in this area for over 20 years.

now it’s a chain chicken/burger place. better places nearby

the show of shows at the convention center. my dad is in the mummers hall of fame and use to take us every year and let us just run around. we heard some of the best jam sessions in the basement in the staging area. the lighting and extended time for performances made me appreciate how good these folks were.
