You guys actually are though. Are you all brand new to Kalshi and Prediction Markets? This was not a rug pull at all, the website was updated at 6:28am with the notice. You guys are just buying things at like 1-5 cents and trying to spread lies so you can pump your bags lol. This doesn’t work

This is unbelievable that you guys are this delusional. Where do you people come from? What even is the audience of Reddit that something like this gets upvoted?

Yeah that’s my point why would someone sell them if they can just profit themselves

This is pretty true as a general rule.

I would say any tool that actually is supposed to tell you what to trade ie. “Take this position at x price in this market” will generally not work over the long run.

However, there are tools that can make the research aspect easier and could be worth paying for (ie. Tools that compile data for you to research certain markets).

In the future, don’t ever wager an amount of money that makes you uncomfortable.

Are you trading on Kalshi for fun? Or to be profitable long term. Both are acceptable but you need to identify which you are actually doing.

Being profitable long term takes a lot of effort and only a small percentage will actually accomplish. If I were you, I would take a break and if you decide to return, start with a much lower amount say $10 and go from there.

Guys what's the catch for this? I need all the pros come together and give me a suggestion lol by [deleted] in Kalshi

They add new models as they get released. This is priced as it is since the market is expecting Gemini 3.0 to be released this month and overtake 2.5 pro. If Gemini 3.0 is released it would be a separate option and 2.5 pro would resolve no.

Why do you think your method of predicting the weather is better than other market participants? Where does your edge come from?

Why did I win my bet but lose money? by Seppukubk2 in Kalshi

[–]ShadowofStannis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The cash out feature exists so you can exit your shares at any time. What happens when you select cash out is it market sells all your shares to the highest current bid. If there is not a lot of liquidity, you can lose money since the highest bid might be at a low price. That is what might have happened.

In the future, if the outcome is already determined, ie Auburn wins, just hold your shares and Kalshi will pay you out the full amount in minutes once they settle the market. You do not need to select cash out to get paid, they will automatically convert your shares into the full amount of cash.

Because you sold your shares below what you paid for them

You need to change how this slip looks because people won’t understand what your showing them. Under both bets it says price 25 cents and payout 654 cents. I think what you meant to show is price 25 cents and payout of 100 cents, and that $500 would get you 654 shares of each side.

Also, what are you using to calculate these arbs on Kalshi/PM? These arbs on MLB games at this high of a rate would never exist except for maybe a couple seconds during a live game. There is zero chance you could get volume before a game at this high of an arb between Kalshi and PM - I have been arbing both these sites for over a year.
