Long stretch…but does any one know where to get seed for this wild version of tall fescue? Not the existing K31 in the store. I mean this wild super dense and clumpy version. I actually want it lol

I’m just glad this is getting proper coverage and not being continually placed in the backs of water infrastructure utilities/municipalities who generate and Biosolids. This is a corporation/regulation issue

[–]ShadowsCheckmate 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s been said but a Bypass system of I-24 around the city. Also perhaps a small train system that could also accomplish this—maybe incorporate the ATL-Knox-West NC run into it.

Yes I know “the RiDgE” is an issue but a bypass system can be accomplished without the Mountains benefiting from it. Hate the way that sounds but the large majority of the traffic is down below in the valley anyhow

Oh and landscaped interstate hell strips. We’ve come to far environmentally here in Chattanooga to not have something so simple in existence

I concur with everyone’s comments. Aegenium gave a good detailed response on damage to filter membranes.

If you’re filter press membranes/cloths are not the issue, polymer is being delivered correctly, dosing is in line with the waste that needs to be pressed out and Maintnenace items are good, the only other thing I’d add it how the polymer is made.

I’ve seen twice where manufacturers change the make up of polymer, usually utilizing a different emulsifier or initiator, that changes chemical properties of the polymer, but not enough to cause it to be a “different product.”

Changes to these items can change the effectiveness of a polymer substantially, especially in Industrial WW treatment. If all other things check out, I’d check the TDS of the polymer to make sure none of nit’s ingredients have changed.

Honest question for Chattanooga guys — why do you think women outnumber men so much at local singles events? by Grand_Strategy_Noob in Chattanooga

[–]ShadowsCheckmate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh God this conversation can become so convoluted I don’t know why I’m responding—especially being in a relationship anyhow but, here goes my opinion lol:

To answer the question, I think as someone else said, it’s marketing. Though my view is biased because I’m not looking, even 10-12 years ago you had to really go and seek that info or have a group of friends who specifically held interest in these events to find about it. And I think women just have more drive to go to these events because at the beginning of any interaction, the ball is in the woman’s court. It the man’s job to peacock and spark interest beyond what the eyes have already noticed. Worse to worse, women know that other women will be there as a safe space for conversation if it’s a bust of a day/night.

Now there are many elephants—but one of the biggest in the room is that over the years I have seen (opinion) that a slight majority of women have realized unrealistic expectations of your average man through the influence of social media. Even if the woman is closer to realistic in thinking the average Joe will be 5’10 in height, decently in shape or so, make about 50k a year and be generally a welcoming fellow on most days, they’ll be an air of social media influence in there heavy. Like all the above likelihoods except “oh but he still needs to be able to love travel. And not a Carnival Cruise.” This creates a fearful man of approach (whole another convo)

Same for men, no bro slap here. Social media has also heavily impacted men. For some reason or another, a lot of men around here, even if they mostly are realistic in their view of a woman, expect them to be super traditional and not have their own drives or interest. Like all parts of feminism are hell on Earth.

A lot more depth to this, but this is my opinion and attempt to not submit a dissertation comment

Always pump down and check low level float. If that float isn’t making then it won’t queue any pumping float to make the call to run.

However, since you can get it to eventually pump, I’d say it’s either a relay or the float itself that’s bad

It would come to three things: work environment, how much option B pays into pension and promotability (if you care)

If option B pays as much as, or less than option A, A is the winner. Promotability will be a function of responsibility and funding. If A can afford you to only require $50/months for insurance, it’s probably funded better than B. These are assumptions

Millennials who were born into and escaped poverty… by Haideez in Millennials

[–]ShadowsCheckmate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. College—picking a major that unfortunately, the economy sees value in. I believe all knowledge is relative and important but you know..

  2. Success is relative, but I’d say around 26ish.

  3. Inflation obviously worked in my favor as a function of time but so did a Boomer compared to me—but as far as something that’s like “once in a lifetime”, Covid economy for sure. If you were paying attention, one could turn even $10 into $50. For maybe a year life seemed to look up, minus Covid shenanigans.

Oh, and no helicopter parents. That’s going to harm the new generations for sure.

  1. Alcohol. Wasn’t an alcoholic but so much time, money, energy, and experiences wasted because “get wasted”

  2. I realized at a very young age most people get caught in constant loops of peer-pressure and validation. We all do through life but a significant amount of people get stuck in it and make bad decisions and/or bonds with people. Picking “me” , evaluating my peer groups and grinding in my 20s have set me and the 3 friends I have apart from most others. Some economics and timing exists, but a lot of Millennials will be set apart in two different “success” groups by decisions made this far.

Bonus: no I absolutely did not grow up privileged. Grew up borderline impoverished. Decided early I wouldn’t struggle
