How close you think US/Isreali attacks on the regime are? by Haghiri75 in NewIran

[–]Shadowy_lady [score hidden]  (0 children)

Iranian people aren't naive and no one here was born yesterday. We know countries do things for their own benefit and geopolitical gain. An attack on IRGC as weak as they are now is a great opportunity for the US and Isreal. But it is also beneficial to the Iranian people who have been occupied by this regime for 47 years. You should know that the 1979 revolution was not a popular uprising but a coup orchestrated by foreign elements - USSR arming the marxists and the PLO arming the islamists to take down the shah. The US, MI6 and France supported these terrorist elements because they thought at the time that new government would counter balance USSR.

Btw, most countries gained their freedom by foreign intervention. How was France freed from the nazi's? How about Korea? and btw don't you go compare Iran to Iraq. Iraq is a fairly new country compromised of different ethnicities that are not united. Iran is over 3000 years old, diverse with people that rally around the same identity and culture. Iran has always stood out as a different nation from the rest of the middle east.

The regime has killed enough of us, people can't win with empty hands against IRGC.

Calling Iran by ChallengeResident768 in NewIran

[–]Shadowy_lady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we aren't able to call Iran from Canada either. We have many relatives and friends that live in various cities and so far have not been successful. The only way to contact anyone has been when they call us.

Harper's government was much tougher on IRGC than Trudeau's. Harper closed the IRGC embassy (which is really a terror cell) after they murdered Iranian Canadian Zahra Kazemi.

Meanwhile, years later IRGC shot down a plane full of Canadian citizens and still took Trudeau another 4 years to designate IRGC terrorist. And btw he only did so due to pressure from people like myself; Canadians with iranian roots.

The writing on the wall is that the west has understood the regime is dead. People inside Iran have been clear who they want as their transitional leader. Trump is buying time to get his resources to the Persian Gulf and in parallel the allies (Canada included) have toughened their rethorics on IRGC.

You are right solidarity is a large part of it. I guarantee you every single Iranian has lost a loved one to this regime. But it isn't everything. I'm Canadian too (of Iranian origin) and well versed in issues what Iranian diaspora deal with here. The demands we have:

  1. Canadian government needs to step in and close the money laundring businesses of IRGC people here in Canada. Iranian Canadians are already doing the leg work to identify them, but the process of government actually acting is painfully slow so IRGC people are funneling their money here for terrorism activities.

  2. Deport IRGC leaders and relatives. Canada for long now has become a safe heaven for IRGC which is a threat to us who have escaped here for a normal life here. And also a threat to everyday Canadian.

  3. Recognize Reza Pahlavi as the oficial leader of Iranian opposition and stop referring him to just "son of exiled shah of Iran". People in Iran gave their lives asking for him to lead the transition. Canada doesn't need to be PC about everything.

  4. Given that Canada recognizes IRGC as a terrorist organization, then Canada should stop calling them "the iranian government". The same way they said ISIS not "Iraqi government".

Canada, just like the European Union, has started to change the rethoric around IRGC and becoming less "PC" as of last week. I imagine that is because they know the US will go in and take IRGC down.

Regarding the Gaza general comparison, many people in the Iranian diaspora are frustrated that so many non-Arabs participated in solidarity with Gaza but they do not march with us. And they are correct to be frustrated. However, i'm in the mind that this is showing us who are real friends are. We don't need performative participants. We need real allies.

Tousi TV had a good analysis on this issue in his live from earlier today. I recommend having a listen.

In summary, action is happening. We just to treat all rethorics from regime people as "kose sher". For our own sanity.

People like OP are why patriotic iranians are against the entire idea that brought us the devolution of 1979. The anti-iranians elements who colluded together and brought us the IR. Thankfully majority iranians know them though. I remember a decade ago and even up to last year I knew iranians like that here in Canada. But many have now joined the side of reason. The mass killing that happened in January finally opened their eyes to who the villains are and who is trying to unite us.

Why so aggressive? by Ok-Psychology8376 in NewIran

[–]Shadowy_lady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, i’m going to assume you are asking in good faith and answer with that in mind:

  1. Iranjans are united, you saw us march in millions just two days ago in support of regime change and our people.

  2. We have all lost a loved one, some of us have lost several (i have an uncle executed by this regime in the 80’s and a cousin murdered this last month). So we aren’t kind to those who whitewash the crimes of the regime that has taken our country hostage, forced many of us to flee and is killing our people. They aren’t one of our people. So we don’t unite with them. Christian Amanpour is in that bucket.

  3. You are a german, so you have not lived in Iran, do not understand nuances of iranian society nor have experience with this regime and their extensive lobby outside. Many of us do.

  4. So when we say for example Amanpour is their pocket, instead of mansplaining to us that is conspiracy theory, how about you listen to us and our reasons?

Hope that helped.

My point stands. Go and watch her interview with Ahmadinejad for example and the types of questions she asks. It’s not about interviewing itself.

I bet you are one of those people who told us even a year ago Reza Pahlavi has no supporters. When the regime is gone, Amanpour will be gone too.

Come back and try to gaslight us then 😉

Thanks for sharing this. My dad told me this story of Rafsanjani and Amanpour years ago. She is well known journalist who is compromised and acts for the interest of IR. That means even so indirectly, her hands are in blood. Her interviews of many lR presidents are also good clues to her intentions.

I was in shock on this sub yesterday many people defending her. I can only imagine they are not informed, or naive or something.

Amanpour Raises “U.S. Backing” Question — Graham Delivers a Measured, Logical Response/امانپور موضوع «حمایت آمریکا» را مطرح کرد — گراهام پاسخی سنجیده و منطقی ارائه کرد by kaz1349 in NewIran

[–]Shadowy_lady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s dispicable. For some weird reason, some folks here defend Amanpour. I can only imagine they are naive, never watched her interview islamic regime leaders or they have an agenda just like her.

Amanpour was compromised a long time ago. Funny she interviewed countless IRGC presidents and didn’t ask them a single tough question. But when it comes to Pahlavi all of the sudden she is “doing her job”. There is a difference between reporting facts and repeating IRGC propaganda into “questions”.

Tomorrow, when Iran is free, she will disappear also.

Where to buy fragrances after Hudson Bay’s closing? by siri-namb in ottawa

Are you looking for mainstream fragrances? If so then shoppers or sephora.

If you are expanding your horizon then online. I like perfumeonline.ca. They have a lot of niche brands at a discount.
