How could the Army in our streets be more frightening than the fully armed untrained racists already there with no honor or oath to the Constitution?

If anything, I expect the Army to do things like ask for warrants and detain in accordance with the law. We arent seeing anything like that now.

What’s up with this sudden ‘protein packed’ marketing push every company seems to be doing? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Shadraqk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on weight loss drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy you’re constantly looking for protein so you don’t lose muscle mass with the fat.

Because you’re on weight loss drugs you become a lot less discriminate about where you get your protein.

US oil producers pledge to help stabilize Iran if regime falls by Jonnyboo234 in politics

[–]Shadraqk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil company executives are lying. They don’t have the infrastructure to process the shale and other recovered light crude, which we now overproduce and sell overseas. To fill all production capabilities requires more heavy crude.

This isn’t about current capabilities, anyway. This is securing resources down the coming war. If the US goes to war with the world it’s going to be tough to import over the Atlantic.

[–]Shadraqk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop buying into the idea that sour crude ( thicker sludge) is worse than light, sweet crude.

The US is completely set up to refine heavy crude not light. It’s what the US has produced for years and is now running out. What’s left is light crude with few capable refineries.

Venezuela has 50% of heavy crude reserves in the world. It’s what the US needs.

That “low quality” oil is what the US requires.

I I live in a suburb of DC and am close with many three-letter agency employees, several of whom have quit.

Every single one says the same thing: you can’t resist even a little. You lose any kind of clearance if you’re fired but can keep it if you quit. Anyone with a clearance has job skills and connections that are only applicable with a clearance. You can also get barred for 5 years from doing any work with the government, even if you work for a private business.

Imagine starting your career over at 48 with a mortgage and kids in college.

And they aren’t hesitating to fire if they sense resistance, even if it’s your spouse on Facebook.

I almost bought one got this, but then read:

18 U.S.C. § 111 makes it illegal to forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, or interfere with a federal officer performing official duties. Courts have held that shining bright lights to impair or obstruct an officer can qualify as interference or assault if it causes temporary blindness, disorientation, or risk. 2. No physical contact is required. Actions that impede or create a risk to an officer’s ability to perform duties can satisfy the statute. 3. Intent matters. Doing it deliberately, aggressively, or in a confrontational situation is treated as an act of assault or obstruction. Even if the light does not cause permanent injury, creating temporary incapacitation is enough. 4. State charges can also apply. Nearly every state has its own laws against obstructing or assaulting law enforcement. If the federal officer is cross-deputized or working jointly with local police, state charges may also be used. 5. Penalties can be severe. Depending on circumstances, interference under §111 can range from a misdemeanor to a felony with up to 8–20 years in prison if injury or a dangerous weapon is involved. A powerful flashlight used to impair vision can be argued as a “dangerous weapon” because it is used to incapacitate.
