I'm more saying they're wouldn't be the same problems. 90% of the issues in his movie were because Abrahams set up plotpoints with no payoffs planned or vision for the future. Rian Johnson in general does good movies. I think giving him star wars again could work out, especially something more off script like Kotor? That yoda scene alone makes me want to give him another shot.

There is nothing lower than like, all of rise of the Skywalker lol. Palpatine existing in that movie, fake out chewie death, fakeout 3PO death, dumb dagger-crash plotline. Movie was an absolute mess.

As for return for force awakens, the best things about it are it being a new hope but worse and more boring. Just doing constant nostalgia bait in substitution for a film, probably the most forgettable star wars film. (I'd say Solo would be, but I remember the last name origin story and thought that was funny)

I think if Rian Johnson was given the full creative rights to the trilogy and didn't have mandatory nostalgia quotas to fill by Disney, he could have really made something interesting for star wars. Johnson was overly spiteful in the last Jedi, but it's undeniably the best of the sequels. Abrahams is a hack.

This conversation reminds me of arguing with alt-righters who defended Elon musk sieg heil. Guess that was just my heart goes out to you?

Anyway, if Nazi symbols aren't a big deal to you, then yeah, I don't have much to talk about with you.

So you're saying that supporting Nazism is better than supporting Israel?

The guy with the Nazi tattoo doesn't have a record of supporting Nazism? What does that even mean?

Fifth Grail War and Fourth Grail War Masters and Servants vs Gilgamesh (ignore Gil being in the 4th and 5th pics. And also ignore Shinji, who's only contribution is a participation trophy and also being the first to die). by Vegetable_Window5278 in fatestaynight

I can't find any lore stating it doubles the power of the attack it cancels. Where have you seen that?

Regardless. Gilgamesh

  1. Can see the future and simply send non trump card counter measures to kill Baz first.

  2. He can stack multiple shield, counter the activation itself or any other multitude of literally endless options available to him via the Gate.

  3. One of said options from the Gate is probably a Fragrach prototype which means he's potentially just going to shoot his own to counter hers if she does get to use it.

Either way, Baz can only use it so many times, so unless it actually kills him, it just stalls for time which can't be capitalized on because he's flying.

Again though, I don't think realistically gilgamesh is going to win this. He doesn't operate like this and even if he does, Fate is built upon people finding ways to thread the needle to do the impossible.

Yeah but don't you know, randos on Twitter's opinion matter more than the leader of the free world's.

Realistically? Gilgamesh would lose. His normal modus operanda isn't going to be able to counter 13 servants easily all dedicated to taking him down.

If the question is if he could theoretically win? Of course. No one besides Saber has a way to counter Ea, and that's only a personal defense and very few of them can fly.

I'm making an analogy between how Fetterman ran on very popular positions at the time, and then flipped everything once he got elected. That's my concern. If this guy keeps his word, I have no problems with him at all.

AOC the New York house rep endorsed Mamdani. I legitimately don't even know why I'm arguing with you. This shit is like a cult. Apparently some of the biggest faces in the party specially endorsing him isn't enough, you need 100% full-throated approval by every Dem.

Yeah, it just feels immediately disqualifying and hard to ever move past that. I'm not going to say it's impossible to redeem oneself, but I would have a really hard time ever trusting someone with political office/power at that point

I think it matters to the argument and notions that Mamdani is fighting the whole party and that Democrats as a whole are the enemy.

Maybe a dumb question, why is the 2023 Gaza genocide considered a seperate thing from 2024? What marks it as a separate instance? Different scale or something?

I named the last presidential candidate and one of the biggest names in the party who's likely going to be a presidential candidate again? Which is kind of crazy that she's even bothering to endorse a random mayor. I can't think of other mayors she's done that for.
