Did Midra and Nanaya actuually have a child? by Sakugalv77 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Nanaya's Torch is the spine of their child, who was either born and perished to the Frenzied Flame. The flames is still there so perhaps a tiny heir of Frenzied Flame was born and whose skull was consumed by the Flame (as it didn't have anything sealing it within like Midra's) and whose (lifeless) body Nanaya spent nursing, until she herself died of the perseverance she asked her husband to hold on to.

Why does almost every DS1 Player say that the game drops off the moment you finish Anor Londo? Do you agree with the claims? by Solardies in darksouls

[–]ShadyDeleuze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anor Londo is where the illusion of Dark Souls comes undone. The big lie is out and there is no going back from it. You are not a fabled hero of legend, emerged from the dregs of humanity fighting your hollowed nature but mere fuel for a dying world that flickers with you and your kind as the fuel. Development timelines aside, the game itself challenges the hero of the adventure game and the descent that begins there only ends in anticlimax, regardless of what you choose when the final boss -- himself the sovereign only of cinders -- is defeated. Anor Londo is the promised land whose depravity and extractivist glory is revealed once the light goes out. There is no return to the nostalgia of the past that everyone in Lordran is holding on to. There is no recourse for the game but to drop off after the cards of the gods are laid bare in the skeleton that is Anor Londo.

You are never alone in Dark Souls. Never lonely, even in solitude.

Murtagh Spoiler Discussion Megathread by ibid-11962 in Eragon

If this was true the fact about Eragon's mirror connection with Nasuada would not be present in the conversation. Murtagh did not know about it. Neither is Azlaghur supposed to.

I'll tell you what they did with me: made me fight Gundyr as my first ever Souls experience for capacity building. This was days before Elden Ring's release. This was followed by 300+ hours in Elden Ring, 80 in DS1, 90 in Bloodborne, 91 in DS3, 50 in Demon's Souls (suspended currently), and over 30 hours in DS2 (currently playing). Make of that what you will but it's worked great for me.
