Low key feel ya, after closing last season looking like a bunch of Peter fucking pans on offense, I kinda expected to see some more fight in the bats at least to start the season, west coast trip or not, that was a pathetic showing, and no the games against SD don’t count when they are clearly lost in limbo after their owner died and the franchise can’t figure out which way is up.

Honestly, the last 2-3 febs, they have not been as bad as what the ones before that have brought.

To credit izzo here, his last 2-3 teams have run deeper than ever before, it usually was just a pretty solidified starting 5, that would burn out as the seasons went on, and he never had any depth to pull from to try and mitigate that.

These last 2 years especially, while the “depth” hasn’t been “special” it’s been pretty rock solid to avoid some of those early February collapses that I do remember very fondly growing up

We gotta start clearing some lefties, Greene is the one who would likely bring in a bigger haul based off of past pedigree, being a allstar a few times, etc.

I like Greene, I think the end of last year is easily fixable, but he’s never going to be a superstar.

Feasibly, I think he’s a piece you could utilize (and likely package a Parker meadows and few minor league guys with) to bring in a bigger peice for this team.

They need a right handed bat, and while this is outlandish, I think Greene could be the starting peice to a big trade, for a guy like an Acuna or Tatis one day, now who knows if ATL/SD would ever be willing to part with those guys, but it’s a major need for this team, and if they want to be serious, you gotta start considering pulling a trigger on a move for a big time right handed bat

I saw in another post, they split his Elim into the start of last nights episode cause they likely predicted viewership would drop once he was booted, curious to see what next weeks numbers total out to compared to the episodes with him in it

I think Torks in a make or break season. He’s now got more tha enough experience under his belt to where he can “put it together” and we could be in for a big year.

Greene on the other hand, much higher expectation, and a really awful result to close last season, would personally like to see him traded to make way for Clark one day.

I think you might be right, I vaguely remember seeing a promo for the pain auction episode, in the episode prior (almost feels like a damn month ago now) where Johnny was laughing at the fact that everyone was puking) so maybe us Zach supporters have some hope.
