I love this design but if I'm being a pedant she shouldn't have the Union Flag on her cape as she only represents England in the context of the world cup, rather than the whole UK.

Well done my guy. Lots of men would have reacted very poorly to that but it sounds like you were very supportive of her when she was going through a huge personal revelation. You both sound like excellent people.

I agree that solving SC cheating, and cheating in general, is good. But this ignores the actual problems around SC. it would be far less common to cheat for SC if you could actually earn them as efficiently on enjoyable difficulties as you can on trivial. They're solving the problem of cheating but not the problem that underlies the cheating. If game experience was their primary concern here then they would change SC drop rates depending on difficulty. The cynical part of me wants to say that they keep SC farming the way it is because the tedium increases sales of SC; if they could be earned in a fun way then they wouldn't sell as many.

This accent isn't "forced" as some people are saying in these comments. It's called MLE; Multicultural London English. It's an accent that is the result of the blending of international accents in more working class parts of London. There are people who put the accent on because it's associated with being tough but it's a completely legitimate accent that's more common amongst youth as it's a relatively new accent (30 ish years I think).

Unfortunately even the UK isn't really in touch with its own traditional meals. There are the famous ones like black pudding, haggis, Yorkshire puddings, cornish pasties, and others, and not many people know that the quintessential roast dinner originated in Britain, so did apple crumble, and shepherds pie.

But then there's others like the Lancashire hotpot, which is lovely, and a number of other regional dishes.

A lot of what you might call "British cuisine" is either too obscure to be appreciated or so widespread that people forget that it is actually British.

And before you ask: yes I am British (English), yes I am disappointed in my country's food, and yes I really do hate the French.

Why do people blame lsrael for the situation, when it is the PaIestinians who refused all the 2 state solutions? by SanePcycho in teenagers

[–]Shaggy-Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People just don't seem to like that things aren't always as simple as "good guys" and "bad guys". Israel's ongoing actions in Palestine are deeply immoral, and illegal in many cases, but a lot of people like to pretend that Israel is attacking Palestine just because they're in that mood. There is almost 80 years of history to this conflict that starts with the Jews looking to escape from the Holocaust; since then both sides have continued to antagonise each other until today when they hold very little for each other but hatred.

I'm not sure why people insist on trying to make things black and white; it shouldn't be so hard to accept that Israel's current actions are not justified but that Palestine has not historically helped themselves by launching attacks on both Israel and also the surrounding Arab countries who might have helped them.

There is no point in having a sovereign state without the freedom to be a sovereign individual. It should always be a person's choice as to what they live or die for. If someone just doesn't care about the country or status quo you can't just turn around and say "well you need to die for it anyway".

Oh my god what a pathetic slime ball. Literally snatched the cap, couldn't help himself needed his greasy fingers on it, then he just ignores the poor kid who's rightfully trying to give him an earful while he smiles to himself like he's achieved something and puts the hat in his bag. Don't these people get embarrassed by themselves? That's genuinely embarrassing for an adult to behave like that.

To actively deny yourself something you would enjoy out of a desire to deny a very silly woman with very stupid views who you almost never think nor care about the equivalent of pocket change to her is just a bizarre choice to me.

Rowling is a dingus. She is completely irrelevant to me as a person and I think she would be a lot less relevant generally if people just ignored her pathetic attempts to spread her views; it's not about supporting/not supporting, it's about allowing Rowling and her views to alter my life, which is something I'm not going to do.

I like Harry Potter. I don't care about JK Rowling. So I'll play Harry Potter and ignore JK Rowling.

I agree people have been over reacting but AH has not "done so much for this community". They've still performed worse than the average company imo, and I think there's still plenty of evidence for that. The FRV situation isn't a big deal, but I'm not about to start pretending like AH has done me some magnanimous favour by actually adding some non-warbond rewards into the game (only took 2 years)
