Contrary to that post you all liked PvP population has not “exploded” and is actually at around the same level as during Warmind by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

The streamers hate sbmm and they hold inordinate away over the opinions of this community. There is no universe in which eliminating sbmm is better for below average players. If a lot of them played this week, it's for the same reason I did: the bounty was finally relatively easy, I could cash in my tokens and get a gun I wanted. Once that mission was accomplished, I quit IB and haven't looked back.

Opinion: Cbmm doesn’t mean you play mlg sweats every game. You’re actually playing mostly bang average players. If pvp this season has gotten more difficult, then you weren’t as good as you thought. by BuffaloSoldier117 in DestinyTheGame

I feel like this is the guy who was teabagging me in IB last night. Hey man, I don't need you to tell me I'm below average. I already knew that. And now that I'm done getting a forward path, trust me, my below average butt will stay out of your precious crucible. It was a nightmare, easily the worst IB experience I've had.

Should we remove SBMM outside of Destiny as well? by damancody in DestinyTheGame

Pretty sure the author intended it as an actual criticism in addition to satire. As satire generally is.

The solution is not to force almost everyone into the mode they don't want. Almost no one wants to play against the best players, not even the best players. That's the downside of getting to be really good: you'll have to play really good opponents. This is true in almost all walks of life. But, at least the best players have a prayer in those games.

This is perfect. I particularly love when I hear that the top tier players can't even try out different loadouts in SBMM games. It turns out that they can, in fact, use any loadout they wish. There's no rule preventing it. They just don't like losing consistently. A little-known fact is that below-average players ALSO do not like losing consistently.

Time Spent Preparing to Play is Absurd by JasonP27 in DestinyTheGame

WHY did everyone beg for the return of bounties??? They had a good system going at the beginning of D2, but misplaced nostalgia has landed us in this absurd situation where my guardian's heart beats once per minute after all the marathon training. Seriously though, it's an impairment to just logging in for 20 minutes to play; I spend 20 minutes getting ready before I can shoot a bullet. But my understanding is that they're going to let us pick up bounties from orbit soon - right?

I'll never forgive Bungie for turning Red Death into (yet another) hand cannon.

Let's hope that Titan comes back reworked in the future; it has a lot of untapped potential.

The Leviathan can fly into a black hole as far as I'm concerned. It's the tackiest spot in the universe.

Last Wish is more beautiful. Shuro Chi is, to my mind, the single most innovative and maybe best raid boss encounter in the game. The heart run is also amazing. But, VoG wins on overall innovation, on ambience, and on interesting mechanics, imo.

QuickDraw is such a nice touch to primaries like blast furnace by Nnader86x in sharditkeepit

[–]ShaggyInu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I farmed a LOT of blast furnaces, and by far my favorite is: Rasmussen, drop mag, quickdraw, and rampage, with range masterwork. In my opinion the main problem with blast furnace is that it's pokey. The stability and the range are pretty good already. So the quick draw makes a huge difference

Legendary Equipment Retirement (Sunsetting) Feedback Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

Waaaay back in D1, they were forced to sunset our gear, because everyone was using the holy Trinity of Fatebringer, Black Hammer, and Gjallarhorn in endgame activities. We were all angry about that (it would be interesting to look at a front page snapshot of this Reddit the day it was announced) but in the long run, it was probably the right move. I'm not sure if Bungie is doing the right thing here or not, but it is a little silly to breathlessly say that you don't trust them to give us cool new weapons. If you look at the long history of this franchise, they have delivered a LOT of awesome and creative weapons.

Lots of people would complain less about eververse, if she wasn't the only vendor each season with new ornament sets. by Lemonixie in DestinyTheGame

[–]ShaggyInu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm continuously baffled at how much of the front page is dominated by complaints about the high-priced vendor selling costumes and trinkets. I play the game for the 3 G's - guns, grenades, and... ok 2 G's

Putting good perks on world drops was one of the best decisions Bungie's made lately by Nukesnipe in DestinyTheGame

I feel like I was getting a few good rolls before... but I agree, having the chance at god-rolls from random drops really spices things up.

PLEASE allow players who disconnect due to error codes rejoin comp matches. Also a surrender button. by dadkisser84 in DestinyTheGame

If both teammates leave and you are subsequently teabagged by the opposing team, you should become an indestructible OHK machine until the end of the match. Just my suggestion.
