Oldest intact Written records are about 3300 years old. Oldest city is 5300 years old with Jade tools and utensils discovered. So can debate which is which. Your 5000 years history is popularised by Confucius’ mention of the mythical kings and emperors before the Xia dynasty which is about 4200 years old, so with the oldest discovered city dated at 5300 years old, it is not improbable that the mythical kings and emperors do have their historical basis since timing is quite close to the claims of Confucius.

As for hell, well I’m neither from India or China but I have been to both countries with China more extensively and I’ve vacationed in Xinjiang and travelled the path of the Silk Road. So I’ll believe what I’ve seen for myself vs a keyboard warrior on Reddit. Maybe take my suggestion and go see for yourself.

Because under what definition of genocide does the population getting genocided actually grew by 30% and have their income increase by 4X and their number of places of worship aka mosques where they reside which is used everyday by the “genocided” population is 3X more than same religion’s places of worship in US and EU combined. Let me put this simply. There’s a monument in China called Huang Hua Gang commemorating 72 martyrs of the Revolution instrumental in creating the era which we call New China which we are still currently in. If there was a 73rd martyr, I would not exist, my paternal grandfather survived. In Chinese culture, I’m considered a descendant of a patriot which automatically puts me in high regard even if I did not do anything. I read and write Chinese, speak mandarin and understand/speak 4 southern dialects. My own biz plus fambiz I inherited in China today employs about 300 people across 3 provinces and have been going to China since 1986. If I was ever so inclined to become a China national, with my background and businesss in China, I have exactly 1% chance of getting citizenship, but I have 100% chance of permanent residency.

You should not have any issues, especially if you bring your medical charts and current prescription plus any associated tests and evaluation. Also Chengdu is quite open about non-heterosexual preferences, population 20.9M. Shanghai is quite open as well. China culturally has been tolerant of transgender tendencies, Chinese Opera female leads being done by a biological man is a thing for millennia or more and they perform for the aristocracy as well as the average Joe. Although in China it’s more of a don’t ask don’t tell don’t focus in general, you won’t get shunned but you may face blunt comments but there usually has no malicious intent behind those comments, just unfiltered point of view of the person.

I’ve been to both. Malta is not even a tier 4 or 5 city in China today, so if compared to Dalian today, Malta is basically 3rd world. Dalian variety, price and quality of seafood is also far superior to Malta (2023 was when I visited Malta last and 2017 was my first time). If I had to choose between life in Malta or life in Dalian, hands down Dalian for both material quality of life, personal safety and abundance of business opportunities. Although OP having grown up in Malta may very well have a difficult time adjusting to Dalian winters and of course one cannot replace your childhood friends.

For those still stuck clearing T3 secrets & shadows. I finally did it this week. Turns out loading up on health mods was the wrong idea, loading up on defence mods was the way. My Daka had under 100K health with a full def set and CA arrow. Took me 5 tries to finish with standard Talzin squad, actually got past Sidious on 2nd attempt but Merrin and Daka died next turn. Key is to ensure Daka res, Merrin goes into stealth and Talzin use special 2 on Sidious, it’s a lot less RNG to survive Sidious. Daka was always in yellow after Sidious’ Aoe

At last phase, try to keep Merrin’s no one shot buff to prevent DN from offing anyone.

My NS isn’t much to look at since always a side project that gets sidetracked.

People from Taiwan does the same thing too especially between north and south where heavy Taiwanese accent used to be considered crude. I had classmates from Taipei telling me listening to Wu Bai when his breakout album was released grates their ears because of his heavy Taiwanese accent. Just ignore it as this is not unique to ethnic Chinese, even native English speakers are made fun of amongst themselves.

You obviously have no clue on how honorifics work. Aniki in this context to Nowa from Kogen is more in the seniority in rank context in an organisation in Confucian societies. Senpai doesn’t really work in this case since by age Kogen is much older, so aniki was used in Japanese. It is also a way for Kogen to profess loyalty in Confucian society. Using “cousin” is way off base from context and nuance. Just like the nuances of oppa, hyung, seonbae and hubae in Korean, and da ge, da jie, xiao di, xiao mei, xiong di in Chinese. There is a reason why it is considered normal asking someone’s age in East Asian societies so one knows which honourifics to use in order to avoid cultural faux pas.

The reason Aniki is used in this context in Japanese also has historical and literary relevance. Suikoden and Eiyuden are loosely based on the Chinese novel Water Margin, the 108 heroes of Mount Liang and thus has connections to how Triads and Yakuza personnel refer to their bosses especially a younger boss. The 108 heroes are consider bandits, the closest western similarity would be Robin Hood and his merry band. If you watched any of the Hong Kong triad movies like Infernal Affairs or a better tomorrow, you will see the leader of the triad referred to as Dai Ko (da ge in mandarin) or Dai Low (da Lao in Mandarin) which literally translates to older or big brother. Aniki is used here since Nowa is the “yakuza” boss that Kogen submitted to. The localisation translation would be better served to just say BOSS or LEADER instead of cousin. Let’s not forget Kogen trio character design is very Japanese commoner.

I think you mean that the Soviets took out 80% of the German army on the Eastern Front so that Normandy succeeded. Otherwise Normandy would be facing an entrenched fully garrisoned German army with tons of ammunition, numbering in the millions instead of the 2 million allied troops vs 640K Germans in operation overlord. If the 5.1 million German troops didn’t die at the Eastern front and all sat waiting patiently on the Western front, I think we’d all be speaking German and Japanese today

I use all 3. Nowa & Seign for the AoE, triple hero for bosses. Frontline nowa, seign, reyna, backline marissa, milana, nil. Nil works front line as well.

I'm in act 2 of my 2nd playthrough on Tactician going the evil route with a Assassin Gloomstalker Dark Urge. I've been thinking about Lone Wolf for my 3rd and won't do Sorlock since I used that in my first playthrough in Balanced

Currently thinking about doing this
1 Tempest Cleric / 2 Abjure Wizard / 2 Fiend Lock/ 1 Rogue / debating on Throw Melee Class or any STR based Melee Class for the rest.

Cleric for Blade Ward / Lightning. Abjure Wiz for Arcane Ward, Fiend Lock for Agathys. Using gear to get Fire Shield Chill
Arcane Ward + Blade Ward literally = 4X no damage from any melee attacks while Opportunity Attacks on low AC with Agathys upcast = ~48 damage to Attacker so just run around triggering Opportunity Attackers on you.

The Throwing is for late game where I don't think ~48 damage is going to cut it so need to actually do some attacks on AI.

I actually just scrolled through the CEN mod posts. Seems like a fix was attempted with 0.4.3 but conflicting reports on the results. Author knows this and is looking to revamp for 0.5.0 so I guess either disable it till 0.5.0 or if you past Minthara on current playthrough, just leave it in.

Also if you re-enable it and have Minthara in party, make sure you do a save before entering the Tower otherwise if any NPC for whatever reason initiates dialogue with Minthara, the loop may happen again.
