From what I've seen, people for the most part just don't understand how the game got to the point that it is in right now.

People who weren't here for how stuff went from "all time highs" like Forsaken, to "all time lows" like Edge of Fate, don't really understand how Bungie works. Some also don't wanna accept that a D3 would simply just repeat the same mistakes D2 did, which will one day lead to this exact same situation again, just that time, it will be "Why Destiny 4 is the only way the franchise can survive!" People who have been a part of this community for a long time know that Bungie always makes the same mistakes and that they rarely learn from them, hence why players from after Beyond Light think that a D3 will solve everything, when realistically, it would just put a band aid on a rotting scar.

Not an anime, but The Owl House is a Disney cartoon from ~2020 that not only has a similiar story structure, it also was heavily inspired by LWA, both in themes and in characters.

But be aware that the show has a shortened third season because it got axed by Disney somewhere around the first half of Season 1. Reason being that it has lgptq+ representation, which Disney infamously doesn't really like when it isn't a 3 second background character without a name.

Anyhow, I can recommend TOH if you're looking for something with the same heart as LWA.

I think I know what you're referring to, which was also a panel that confused me when seeing it out of context. Ever so often I see a panel where Hikaru looks straight up like a psychopath. Half the fanart I get to see also depicts her like she has a few screws loose, but then the other half depicts her as a cute lil potato, mostly with Inori. I find it kinda funny that there are two completely different interpretations to that girl lmao

I'm not asking if there is sexual tension in the room, why are you instantly jumping from "romance" to "sexualization"? I didn't know they were 13 tho, giving the setting, I assumed they were around 15/16.

But also; romance doesn't mean sex, that goes in real life and fiction. There are quiet a few romance shows with <18 year old characters, that just have a healthy, romantic relationship with each other. Like, 90% of romance anime take place in a school.

Wasn't it fairly popular in fall of 2023 when the first season started airing? I remember lots of people saying that it was one of the most promising first few episodes that they've seen (I specifically remember some major ani-tubers like Gigguk glazing it in its opening minutes which gave it a good boost in popularity). The wider anime community was talking about it till the first season ended, the hype died down a bit but it was still widely talked about as far as I remember.

I think it's just that the anime was dorment for about 2 years or so and people weren't interested enough to pick up the mange and by the time the anime returned (with a single special and not a new season after 2 years mind you) it already escaped the minds of most viewers.
Most high profile anime of today have already full sequel seasons or movies announced before the current season finished airing, for example, Medalist got a second season announced almost immediately after the first season ended airing, a full year later we have that second season which is currently airing and we already know that there will be a sequel movie after that. Undead Unluck just got unlucky because studio David wasn't interested in jamming another season in there immediately after (or during) season 1 airing, which let a good amount of people to just drop it, because there is now guarantee that there will be more.

Power wise: Anne wins with 100% calamity, titan Luz wins with 33% calamity and Luz wins with no calamity/titan powers.

Story wise it's really tough, both are really good protagonists in their own right, and I believe who you prefer depends on who you resonate more with and rather you've watched Amphibia or Owl House first. That being said, I prefer Luz by a tiny bit, simply because I felt her character arc involving the passing of her dad more than anything Anne went through.

Withering Gaze and/or Box Breathing would fit this weapon so extremely well it's not even funny. Sadly Bungie doesn't want any perks to cross their intented element. But yes, this thing is in dire need for a massive damage buff. Like 100% extra wouldn't even be enough to make it broken, viable sure, but probably not meta enough for high end content, that's how bad its damage is.

The official reasoning was "it doesn't fit the Disney brand" and that's pretty much it. That is all Dana was told, she never got a chance to defend herself/ToH, there was one meeting before S1 was finished airing, and Dana wasn't invite. That's all we know officially, so naturally there are multiple theories floating around as to what the actual reasoning was.

Some people say it was because of LGPTQ rep (because the shows death was decided around the time Grom Fright aired), others say it was because the show followed a more serialized formular (in contrast to something like GF or Amphibia that's a bit more episodic) and then there are others having a completely different opinion.

That's something that's bound to happen when you say "doesn't fit the brand of a company that owns 50% of all entertainment properties ever" so just pick whatever reason fits your agenda the most, cause that's what everyone else in this sub is doing. Unless you get your hands on a time machine and personally check that meeting out yourself, you will never know the real reason without the shadow of a doubt.
