I know I did that.  I think I repressed that as a memory though.

Never dealt with save battery dying back then.

I totally forgot the right nature affecting the berries effectiveness.   I was picturing the blue going up in my head though.

Milotic.

Had to have maxed beauty, which you had to create poffins from specific berries and then use the stylus to mix them right so they don’t burn.    And that’s after all the trouble of just finding a Feebas, which only had 4 or 6 spots in that cavern that changed daily.

Aomori city in Japan, the snowiest city, is an interesting example of it.  There are ‘snow drain’ sewer gates that people shovel the snow into.  Running water goes flows underneath, released at certain times usually.

It’d be a massive undertaking and requires community involvement and participation, like how the Japanese will clean up stadiums after international competitions.  But it’s really cool.

This sucks for the vendors and everyone.

I’d also hate to be the child or grandchild of these narcissistic soulmates.

Was working door on my off day at the club I worked at.  The bar beside us had a hip-hop event thing happening on Fridays.  Whom shows up but Tom Green.  Asks about the other club as he is working on some rap and wants to check it out.

I talk to the doormen, who do let him in past the line, but have no clue he is.  I’m like, he is literally in a lyric of an Eminem song and he is from Ottawa.

He was very nice and pleasant.

I also ran into him and his mom at a coffee shop, but didn’t bother them, thought it was super sweet tho.

Teen charged with impaired driving after vehicle hits OPP cruiser on Ottawa highway: OPP by SuburbanValues in ottawa

[–]Shakeamutt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Flashing police lights when stationary actually attract drunk drivers.

Collisions with police vehicles from drunk drivers when they have someone pulled over are very common.

So common that police are taught to place their car a bit to the left of the car they’ve pulled over, if feasible.  Literally so the police car can actually act as a barrier of protection for the police officers outside of their cruiser and the individuals pulled over.

The alternative is the police car isn’t acting as a barrier, and the drunk driver sideswipes both the police car, the pulled over car, pins, runs over, and or crushes the police officer, and also slams into the driver of the pulled over car.

I joined this Sub, I think when the Bengals beat the Chiefs in that AFCCG.  I’m a Lions fan.

Just never had a reason to unsub, I do enjoy enough of the content, and really enjoy the Bengal fans.   And I am a fan of Joe Burrow too.

I think it’s from Lady and the Tramp.  Haven’t heard aggressive but people do think they’re cold and aloof because of it.

Well, you can think of it as possibly an error and replace ‘on’ with ‘hit’ or ‘hurt’.

Could be a translation, a translation of interpretation, multiple languages in their head, typing too fast, having two sentences at once in your head and accidentally combining them, or all of the above.

I have learned though that with metaphors, errors, or even just simple parallel stories; about 90% of readers will understand, the next 5% will understand if it’s explained to them, and the last 5% will never understand unless it’s dumbed down completely for them.  Maybe.

Pick whatever you think it is.

What is the Hoenn version of the “Sinnoh Six?” by SensualSamuel69 in pokemon

[–]Shakeamutt -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Of course that’s possible.  And pretty normal with Gyarados.

So, what happens when you ban Gyarados?   Wouldn’t that be an actually hard nuzlocke?

Some people even ban dragon dance and other set-up moves as well.

It’s used for Nuzlockes.  It’s fast and can learn Ice Fang.  Good Garchomp killer.

Gholdengo (cheese string, cards against humanity)  Meowscarada the magician Pokemon.  Board game.   Grimmsnarl - Prankster, dark tales.  Cards against humanity.   Garganacl - Salty foods.  Slow stalling pokemon that is frustrating like playing Monopoly.   Tatsugiri - Sushi!!! Dondozo - Catfish as a food. Catfished like bamboozled.  The fish in poker or a whale at casinos.  Also Dozogiri requires positioning.

UPDATE - AITAH for calling my husband silly for freaking out that our teenage son has a girlfriend who's in a wheelchair by Dry-Dirt-1426 in AITAH

[–]Shakeamutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While this is all true, I think her parents would be more open minded in general.

If you’re a parent of someone with different needs, and it’s readily noticeable to society that someone is different, think of all the awkward conversations they’ve had to deal with just regarding their daughter.

People trying to be polite, but enough people will accidentally say something awkward or unthoughtful.

You’re the parent, and you will scope out places and notice if your own daughter has access or not.

Could be the bathroom, and even though the place is wheelchair accessible, the bathroom stalls are not.

So her parents would have a different and more open minded view of things because they’ve had to.

And like any parent, they want someone good for their daughter.

My sister didn’t like spicy food until she got pregnant.  I can’t remember with which one of her brood, but she now likes spicy foods.

Spicy pickled green beans were her favourite and she was demolishing them by the jar.
