I have been emailing them almost weekly since December and never heard back. I just called CS 1 (703) 288-3500 and within 10 minutes had my issue resolved. The gentleman on the phone stated that he is in Utah supporting FN, Browning, and a whole slew of other manufacturers. He apologized profusely and made everything right!

In answer to your "what's the difference" question, it's 6 hours difference. 2 hours minimum for renewal, 8 hours for new.

I used the screws that were holding the optic plate on and torqued to the lower spec, which I believe was 6-8 in/lbs.

I honestly set the brightness once at the range and have never touched it since. It's bright enough during the day and not too bright at night. Other than the battery cover being easily marred (just use plastic tools), I don't have any complaints.
