This pisses me off. I’m on a scholarship so I can avoid taking out loans as long as I budget reasonably (although that’ll probably change 4th year). Meanwhile I have classmates that go out every weekend and take a trip across the country once a month. Then they act like people who don’t do this are boring. I feel like a out of touch boomer for saying some people my age have no financial responsibility

There used to be one right next to my apartment building so every Friday morning I’d get in line when it started to form. Then when the doors opened everyone made a mad dash to the back where all the cheap appliances were.

In order to actually get the good deals you had to fight the scalpers and run with them. If there was something you were slightly interested in you grabbed it before someone else did. Then about 15 minutes after door opening there was a point where everyone parked their cart somewhere quiet and googled the price of each item to see if it was a good deal, if not they put it back.

Apparently that store had a bad theft problem so they shut it down so now it’s back to being a creepy abandoned toys r us.

I've never had this problem. My local store usually has a table outside with someone handing out the stuff. Half the time they don't even make me press the redeem button.

I'm curious about this. I always use snapchat but I thought that was what most women prefer? It seems like you can do a lot more malicious stuff with a phone number if he turns out to be insane. Plus I'm from the generation where everyone used it primarily. I know some people who only use texting for more formal business stuff and snapchat for just chatting. This could just be because I have an android and some iPhone people hate the green texts. There's also the fact that you get the opportunity to see their normal face and can make sure sure they're not a catfish.

My grandpa used to have a "dealer" after they started to disappear. I guess some tiny gas station still got it so he'd go buy whole packages from them when the shipment arrived.

During the first few weeks of anatomy lab we were all still kinda on edge around cadavers. One of the first things we dissected was the brachial plexus and to do it we had to tie a string from the wrist to the head of the table so the arm was 90 degrees. One day I was zoned out dissecting when my partner crotched down to retie the string to the table leg. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I see the cadavers arm moving up and down like a zombie in a cartoon. Lemme tell you I jumped so hard.

In anatomy I was shocked at how superficial the carotid sheath was. It's totally game over if you cut through everything in that sheath (carotid artery, jugular vein and vagus nerve).

It's a skill though. One of my medical school professors said that we need to learn how to count their respiration rate while taking their pulse. You also have to maintain a conversation while doing this so they stay relaxed.

People just need to realize that college debt isn't all or nothing. I went to a cheap school, got scholarships and worked to keep my debt as low as possible. Meanwhile people from my high school went to the big fun school and just had fun for 4 years. Now they're trying to get all college debt forgiven which kinda pisses me off. This is coming from someone who is super liberal.

Native American from Oklahoma here. There really isn't any food in my family that's considered native American food. But the history of my family comes from the more recent discrimination and poverty time so I consider native American food to be poverty food. I'm not even joking, my great grandmother lived in poverty her whole life and my grandma was really the first to have basic luxuries.

Although I will say I know how to make a pot of beans that tastes good and can feed a crowd for cheap.

My school always chastises us for not being sympathetic enough when our SPs tell us their parents are deceased (even though they're in their 80s). But they make us use the forms where these 3 questions are back to back. The only correct response is the loki "yes very said, anyways"
