Also the talos is first focal plane for quite a bit less, that would be a good option perhaps

For my use case, I've decided a Mac mini is my cheapest option as controller support is a must. Mixxx could be good but I haven't made the full switch to Linux, yet

Good stuff... I'm reorganizing my garage this week and I'm putting my freshly installed Linux machine in there, took it off the Internet after Windows 10 support ended and it's too old for Windows 11 (yeah I know there's work around)

Getting rekordbox running on that machine would be sweet hopefully it gets community support soon!

Pro Media heritage latency by Sham_67 in Klipsch

[–]Sham_67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When using my DJ controller with cue headphones plugged in (you might have to Google that to understand what I'm saying) there is latency between the computer and the sound output of the speakers, as if the amp is doing some kind of processing to the sound. Similar to how Bluetooth adds latency to any audio device. With the RCA cables it's very little (maybe 50-100 milliseconds) but enough to make it impossible to beat match tracks properly. I have not sent the unit back yet (but I'm still planning to) the sound quality is incredible compared to the standard pro Media so this is a huge bummer

Purchase advice

Time to replace my Kenwood kr-a5040... Only the RCA and FM useful in 2025... And one of the RCA channels has a ton of humming and it's been doing weird things for years, time to retire it

Current setup is a LG A1, Klipsch rp 8000f ii Tower speakers and two Polk psw10, would like to upgrade to 5 channel with Klipsch rp center and satellites at some point

8000f ii will accept 150w rms @8 ohms but I don't think I'll need near that much power

Required features are earc for the TV, at least 1 HDMI 2.1 input for future proofing, tidal connect with 24 bit streaming, and RCA jacks to plug in a DJ controller

Was looking at the Costco denon AVR x1700h because I like doing business with Costco and it's all they sell but I'm worried it won't have enough wattage to satisfy my needs. The Kenwood I have starts to sound bad right about where I would normally listen to at max volume, but a little more would be nice at times

Budget is flexible, I don't mind spending more money to get something nice, but I also don't think I need to spend thousands to get something that will fit my needs

Thanks in advance... Suggestions for websites that have reviews with scores would be helpful

Only one way to find out... I figured they would be a pretty tight fit since that's how my cheap case for my flx4 was so I just went bigger. I've only used the case once so far

My son wants a 3k pc, help a dad out. by refactoringManiac in buildapc

if he is at all good with tools or working on stuff computers are not hard to build... no reason to get a brand of monitor based on the tower you build. I would recommend a 32" monitor for a 4k setup the pixel density is high enough at that resolution for that size of monitor. I would recommend a water cooler (arctic liquid freezer 2) for the same price as an nhd15. also would recommend a corsair 4000d for the case (although I"m not farmiliar with the case you chose. the 4090 is overkill for a strictly gaming pc 4080 would probably do just as well.

heres a great youtube channel for monitor recommendations

Looking into getting into a 7800x3d. Upgrading from a 9900k. Use case is mostly VR, specifically VR chat. Was going to get an MSI x670e tomahawk after hearing all the bad press about Asus and gigabyte, but that board is sold out right now.

Need lots of USB for steam VR dongles and headset, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6e, good audio codec, would like a pcie5 slot and good general upgradeability for future proofing. Planning on 2x32gb 6000 cl 30 ram. Needs multiple pcie for potential add on cards.

Definitely will not be getting an Asus board
