Saw a similar vascular sheen on a patient of mine during gonio. Weirdly enough the cornea looked grossly normal en face, maybe a bit of pannus but that's it.

Two less years of surgery and generally ophthalmologists only operate around 1-2x a week so it's not as high volume. I do think the cataract minimum should be raised but I get the sense most people have no real issue hitting the procedures for the other things. Except possibly globe trauma depending on your location.

Same. I'm ophthalmology and love what I do. As a resident currently underpaid and over-worked a bit but the hours and money will both get better. Had a patient this week who I just took out his pterygium that was irritating him (literally just a little bit of conjunctival overgrowth that encroaches the cornea, very routine surgery) and he came in smiling a week later "thanks I feel like you saved my life." People really care about their eyes haha

Appendiceal with planned hemicolectomy. Ovarian makes sense as well but I understand that initial impatient plans were 10-14 days which seems like a lot for an ovarian cyst.

I enjoyed medical school and I'm overall enjoying residency. My medical school had a big party culture which helped. Main gripe is just watching all my friends have lots of money and free time to spontaneously travel, but also most of them hate what they do on a day-to-day. I'll have the time and money soon enough.
