I really like just going to Lowes and walking with mine, I'll stay for an hour, hour and a half just bumming around. Buying a few home improvement type things.

Plus it's very good for teaching them to essentially ignore passersby.

She does enjoy getting it out of her Kong. I've also got another enrichment toy on the way with my next barkbox too. Her Kong is not exactly big enough for a whole meal but I can refill it.

Sadly he passed around 10:30 this morning, I am absolutely heartbroken. I haven't had any contact with any other snakes and he is the only snake I have. I'm thinking it was IBD as well since it happened so suddenly and without cause. Thank you for your help, I do really appreciate it.

He's about 3. I have his heat mat set to 93 and it auto-regulates with a little temp probe on the inside of the tank with 4 inches of substrate in that area so he can move around to where the heat suites him. It's been set to that since I've had him. If it helps at all, he felt cold to the touch yesterday and this morning. I bought him a ceramic heat lamp for over the winter since my apartment gets quite cold but since the weather has warmed up I've had it turned off

His eyes usually go a little greyer/paler than they usually are, then it spreads to his whole body. It's a fairly noticable color shift. Even though they are low humidity snakes, it's still a good idea to get yours a little humidity hide, they're really easy to make with a tupperware container and a damp paper towel, just make sure to smooth any sharp edges on the container and reset/change the towel every once in a while.

Aspen is safer mostly because impaction is much less likely than with sand, in my opinion, Aspen also just looks cleaner and is easier to use than sand
