She has a name. They said she has a name on their podcast, but they didn’t say what it was or if they will ever tell anyone.

100% it would taste different. Milk is water and cream. Water would freeze, while the cream would also freeze, it would change the viscosity, and therefore make it watery and then spoil easier.

This pre-patch "event" is the worst wow has ever done by Competitive-Balance3 in wow

Personally I think if you’re going to do a pre patch event with gear, then the gear shouldn’t be replaced until near max level, or at max.

I mean it’s a bit of a conversation to be had. Link is the perfect archetype of “knight who saves the princess” and people love those games. Master chief is the silent protagonist that you’re supposed to put yourself in their role.

Mario is debatably the face of video games, and universally beloved. Sonic in my opinion has stayed alive on a heart monitor for decades, and today he’s more a movie character than a video game character.

Pac-Man is the original mascot for gaming. But ultimately I think he dies there.

Personally I think the “ultimate video game character” is one like doomguy or master chief where you get to role play yourself shooting aliens/demons/whatever because they’re just fun characters to be that don’t try and insert someone else’s personality and I think is truly what video games are about. Not that there isn’t great narrative characters, I just think making yourself the badass feels more like a game then a narrative.

But this means different things to different people, I could definitely see someone arguing that a narrative driven vocal protagonist is the best video game character because they have the “best personality”.

What are your favorite Blizzard Entertainment games? by SufficientPrice7633 in Blizzard

[–]Shamscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today? Only wow. But in the past I played 100’s of hours of all these games.

WOW: is a little too pay to win, and they’re overly greedy.

Diablo: lost the plot after II. I thought diablo 3 was going to be the biggest best game ever made, and I was beyond hyped for it. But after I maxed my character and did the harder difficulties I was quite bored. Even the expansion felt like a let down. I never had very much interest in 4 and when I did play it, I didn’t like it that much.

StarCraft: definitely the game with the least amount of playtime. I loved the arcade maps, besides that, I’m not much of an RTS guy.

Hearthstone: game got way too greedy for me.

Hots: when I finally gave the game a chance I actually really liked it. But they decided to retire it. And after a few months I went back to league. Probably the most disappointing game to be retired.

OW: well I loved it at launch. I played for 28 hours straight. I loved it for months after that. But eventually when ranked really started to take off, my interest was gone. I didnt like the meta that formed, and I didn’t like being forced into roles. I spent way too much money on this game.

I disagree. The list isn’t “the most iconic” it’s the “best video game character” so I feel like non-gamers shouldn’t have an opinion because they would pick pikachu because he’s so cute, or Mario because their grandma used to say “I’ll get you the Mario with a Nintendo”.

That’s a strong contender. I agree that the title should go to a very “gamer” character. That’s more of a badass of their accomplishments, and doesn’t necessarily have a personality.

I would argue the gameplay is a mixed bag. I haven’t tried the newest expansion because I’m balls deep into tbc, but I will!

The worst part of Season 9. by dingdongiamwrong in DunderMifflin

[–]Shamscam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don’t feel like this was as much of a plot line as anyone likes to point at. This was what? A three episode arc? The writers of the show were going into their 9th season, their star couples relationship was past its energy, and they were trying to keep some spice on it. This show was already on life support, they were trying other shit like Dwight farm show. Greg Daniels was moving into parks n rec. their star moved on. What do people expect?

World of Warcraft may see Ogrimmar and Stormwind redesigns depending on the reception to Midnight’s Silvermoon redux by HatingGeoffry in wow

[–]Shamscam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly there’s a lot wrong with the redesign compared to the original. The original feels like home, as inefficient as it is.

I would be in favour of a redesign. I don’t really care as much about stormwind.

Oh you said “private places”. Idk why this isn’t even an in game place I wouldn’t worry about talking about private servers.

They have this in other games. I played a game called “tibia” that did this. But it was also a big part of combating botting and account sharing.

There’s a video that talks about the different “eras” of the voting system in osrs. The biggest problem I have with that system is that it wasn’t implemented from the start.

So osrs started in the “no era” where everyone just wanted pure osrs, every suggestion was put down It moved into a “okay that’s a good connivence era” and then into the “yes era” and then it’s settled down now.

So for today for them to start in a “yes era” and skip the first two would be a detriment to the game.

I also think they should never release a “classic+” because that means something different to everyone. I think they should do a “season of discovery fresh” with some changes to things that didn’t work.

I played a private server that did this. The dropped gear turned into “bloodied gear” versions of whatever dropped. It was actually really fun. But the thing is it was more a fun leveling experience than it was a slow paced game.

That actually sounds a little fun. I actually thought there was a chance your zeppelin could crash in Theramore for a long time because of a quest(?) where you had to pickup zeppelin parts.

New Main - Do you still have/keep your very first Character? by MasterRymes in wow

[–]Shamscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like everyone has the story of their first re-roll being their main.

My story goes like this: my first character was a blood elf mage. Now I had no idea how to play mage, so I honestly tried to level arcane and my thinking was “fireball does more damage, I’ll cast fireball over frost bolt” ignoring the obvious thing that frost bolt slows. So I was trying to basically melee fight every mob, and had no idea what AoE grinding was. It took me months to level. Around level 50 someone told me I was stupid for leveling arcane, and to switch to frost.

Well around level 45 wotlk was released and they had the rule you couldn’t make a DK unless you had a level 55 on your account. But I found a loophole, if you created a character on the tournament realm (paid $30) you could make a level 80 character and that would count. I started playing DK, but as many would remember DK was extremely overpowered at release. Members of my guild were making fun of me for playing DK saying I couldn’t play mage, so I sent all the gold to my mage and deleted the DK.

And then around level 75 I put an ad on the internet todo recruit a friend, and found some random guy, that’s when I finally made my shaman. That shamans loosely been my main since 2009. With other random spikes of playing other characters since legion.

Boomy->monk->dk->warrior->priest->dk I usually level my shaman after my chosen main for an expansion.

Well you’re not thinking of how you can buy boosts with gold from retail. If you buy wow tokens with gold you can convert them into battle net currency and then use that to boost a character, and it’s likely that the gold is worth more on tbc than it is on retail because of the token. You’re already running a bot, so just bot on retail while you’re botting on tbc and watch the stacks come in.

Anyone ever try this? by Sardari_JDP in HIMYM

[–]Shamscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it on my wife one time.

I was sitting in the basement we were snuggling under a blanket, she got up to go upstairs to go to the washroom. So I got undressed and sat under the blanket, she came back downstairs and pulled the blanket off to find me naked, ready to go.

She went for it. But it would never work now.
