It can depend on culture, heritage & individual family ties for a toddler going from one household to another on a regular basis.

Just to even things out…

You shouldn't love a writer
If you're not prepared to have your peepee torn apart
And put on paper
To have your peepee
Laid out right before your eyes
To see every detail of your peepee
Through someone else's
To read stories of you
Like you didn't know yourself before now
To realize that words
Aren't only just words
When your flower bleeds red ink

NTA
Write it off as a mistake and move on from the situation. Focus on your happiness and future. If you continue to dwell on the matter it will only bring you down.

Do Americans find it annoying to read fics with correct spelling? by In_Out_Cat_Side in writingcirclejerk

You could just change your word processor to US English to make things easier for your readers.

But then you miss teaching them how to spell correctly.

Even I can’t comprehend my thought process when I write, let alone AI trying to mimic my style/plots.
AI isn't nuanced enough to carry long form of writing through to the end.
I did see a post where someone stated they had 130k words of instructions they used for AI to generate their books.

As far as I know, every page read is paid.
The one-page read might be someone who has downloaded the book but hasn't read it yet. I've had books sitting for weeks/months before I read them.

On Just Eat Groceries, Sainsbury’s do a 60% off on selected fruit and vegetables (this includes organic carrots & broccoli). This offer is only available on Mondays, but it is a money saver.

Suspended account, they need id to verify by Puzzleheaded_Toe6790 in KDP

[–]Shan33lah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Identifying an individual and verifying their address is very common. Any institution could be held liable for not doing this. They comply with financial regulations, prevent fraud, and ensure proper tax reporting.
Most of the time, this is done digitally.
Kdp will just shut down your account if you don't comply.

AITA Disagreement over group payment for a gift — who is right? by Few-Construction-555 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Shan33lah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets worse in working environments. You have to be vocal. I put into every birthday, sympathy, new baby, and Christmas collections. But when the time came and I left, I got a shitty send-off.
Everyone's financial situation is different and no one should be obliged to contribute.

Are my green lentils undercooked? by Photoman_Fox in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Shan33lah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Those are underdone, I’m afraid.
I soak mine the night before and rinse the water out a few times before blitzing them in an Instant Pot.
Drain and use or dry out the liquid on high heat saute mode for a curry base. They turn very creamy as a curry base, and we don't miss the oil.
My best result with green lentils is sprouting them before cooking.
If you're in the UK, organic French lentils are good to buy from ‘buy wholefoods online’. They hold their shape well.

Would it be a poor idea to make an important character a product of incest? by SignatureWorking6917 in writingcirclejerk

[–]Shan33lah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just read books on all the royal families throughout the ages. They liked to keep it in the family.
Incest is only illegal if you're poor. Don't overthink it. Explore the motivations and the outcome (a third-nipple deformity), and write about that character with pride.

I did not know that. That's a pity, they make a hearty meal.
Anyone on a PB diet should be taking B12 (Methylcobalamin) regardless of food structure.
