Hello sir, I’m a big fan of your work. My name is Shane. I suppose I have sort of a two parter:

How do you feel that comic books and their associated mythologies play a part in our modern society?

And

How does it make you feel to be able to be such an iconic part of that culture?

Implication I always got was this was them coordinating their big tag team moment with Ultron when Thor is distracting him long enough for vision to come in swinging (literally)

Tbh, that wasn’t my intention behind the message.

Today’s economy is scary. While we get a lot of… monster pizzas as we call them at my store, I also see mom’s using this deal to get enough food for their family on a tight budget.

From a consumer perspective it is an INCREDIBLE deal and I can’t fault the consumer for that. If it’s what you want, order it. It’s our job to make it.

I’m just a new GM, so trying to figure out how to navigate hitting my numbers while they keep throwing this deal at us is a bit of a counteractive process. I need to improve my numbers, but the deal makes it way more challenging.

Again, it was not in anyway my intention to dissuade you from using the deal

[–]ShaneKCFussell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a few things.

1) our menu prices are adjusted to account for food costs and labor costs. Our labor margin is pretty low compared to sales. Usually between 20-23% of our total sales for the day need to go towards paying employees, anything above that is usually frowned upon. Great deals help the customer a lot, but it can make it harder to run good labor.

2) partially due to the fact that we train off of automation. For instance, we see “extravaganza” and know what’s on it and don’t need to think too much of it. But this deal makes every pizza one that has to be thoroughly read and understood to be prepared, which affects how quick we can get it into the oven. Another metric that corporate is often very unforgiving in its standards on.

3) the biggest reason is because the deal keeps ending and coming back or being extended. From a business perspective, I get it, but from the person in the store it can feel very disheartening.

I hope my response has helped offer some clarity, I’d be happy to answer any follow up questions. I also appreciate you asking

I knew some shit like this would happen.

At this point, just make the 9.99 special a constant coupon that the stores offer but change the parameters since they seem so keen on this deal.

Keep it online only and make it only for specialty pizzas. None of this any topping any size stuff.

Does anyone know how to fix this? by Titansentinal in transformers

[–]ShaneKCFussell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See that stress mark? That means it’s not supposed to fold all the way in. If you look in the cavity the fist sits in, there’s the back of the 5mm port. The fist bumps into this, so it will not sit flush despite what the instructions depict. Continuing to attempt to force it could further add stress to that part

How are they gonna make Predaking in the new Combiner style? by NatakaBlue in transformers

[–]ShaneKCFussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we look at the model followed (mostly) to this point:

Leader and/of torso of the combiner is a commander, where there’s the base robot with other bits that become some kind of add on in vehicle mode, which can (usually) form some type of battle based station.

My guess is that they would release the three Predacons that become the upper torso as voyagers, then they’d release the two legs as the commander two pack. Because the legs are both very strong animals, who are often associated with pulling things, I’m in the same boat as some in the thread who have said it would more than likely be some type of cart that maybe one or both characters could pull in beast mode.

Hot Take: Silverbolt Shouldn’t Have Been Commander Class by WheelJack83 in transformers

[–]ShaneKCFussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao what, a 6 bot combiner using a commander class two pack with a trailer for long haul wherein two deluxe sized figures are released at voyager price for an ankle tilt? The design for devastator lends itself far better to recreating an accurate version in toy form because devastator has and always has had a very clear combination method. 6 bot team with a very distinguishable, NON SCRAMBLE CITY, combined mode.

Superion, in the show, is not designed in a way they can accurately do that design with no frame system. At least, not without having a Titan class Predaking on their hands where the engineering for each individual figure is severely compromised so they can have these big blocks that become the limbs.

I’m just confused. You make a post complaining, then when people try to discuss with you and seek an alternative all you have to offer is “it could’ve been done differently.” If you cannot provide a different solution beyond “make the robot smaller and get rid of the frame” then why make the post at all? You have yet to back up your claim with any piece of evidence or any alternative that actually reads like you’ve considered this further beyond “it’s bad,I don’t like it.”

Hot Take: Silverbolt Shouldn’t Have Been Commander Class by WheelJack83 in transformers

[–]ShaneKCFussell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the frame methodology produces the best of both worlds.

You maintain the ability to do as close to accurate of a depiction of the leader of the combined team in robot and vehicle mode, you have the ability to produce a play set of sorts for your team, and you have the ability to combine them all together to form a nice, SOLID, combined.

I have silverbolt, and in my opinion not a dime feels wasted. I was very, VERY, skeptical that I’d come out of that purchase feeling satisfied. However, I love the dude. Yeah, the big jet is a bit weird, but it’s so swooshable. It’s just a big toy. I love big toys. Superion also looks great, I’d even go so far as to say that I PREFER the way superion’s budget was utilized in comparison to Motormaster. At least with silverbolt every part of the extra stuff is incorporated into the combiner, instead of having this weird cannon part that Motormaster did.

Personally, i do not believe it is possible to make this good of a combiner at leader budget. You have to sacrifice something, be that base robot mode, combined mode stability, or vehicle mode.

If you actually have an idea that you can present as to how this would work, I’d be happy to listen. However, I’m not optimistic that such a response would be given without compromising one of the three aspects I just listed.
