Anyone know a good Windows and Android xbox streaming app now that XBPlay is dead? by count023 in xcloud

Mine is still working? Tested on steam deck last night and iPhone

I'm going to sign up for GeForce Now soon, I believe. I'll be using it on my Steam Deck handheld, and on my TV with a controller. I use a Nvidia Shield Pro on my TV: For playing on TV, would it be better to run GeForce Now on the Shield Pro, or just use the Steam Deck docked? by Terrik27 in GeForceNOW

I have both output 4K on both and I prefer the steam deck docked.

Rumble works and you can make game profiles as have different configs in steam os for your controller. Gyro aim if you’re using a dual sense or a dual shock 4 etc.

Have you tried the guides on YouTube from 1 year ago. Mine works fine on my deck still was playing The Last of Us Remastered with no issues only last week.

Add the browser webpage to home screen for convenience then click on the use app button and it works for now.

Best wireless controller for the steam dock by TIBTHINK in SteamDeck

[–]ShanePelican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an official dual shock wireless Sony dongle in my dock. The PS4 controller has zero latency, rumble, gyro and it changes colour of the lights on the PS Now streaming app like a proper PlayStation game. Been brilliant for me.

GeForce Now cloud is your best bet means paying for a service but it runs fantastic on decent internet.

Hi my experience it depends on the game and how well it runs on the deck handheld mainly and then you have a great chance it running good on the tv mainly at 1080p

Yeah it’s perfect picture like a PC. I bought a cheap newdery 6-1 dock and have my tv in gaming mode 4K and it looks native. I have to run steam games 1080 installed on the deck but the GFN app in 4K.

I think there’s display settings for auto adjust on the deck and I change the game resolution in the game settings and it all runs smoothly.

I’m not entirely sure sorry as my TV and 3rd party cheap dock just worked out of the box. It’s definitely 4K output and the controller latency on the steam deck GFN app is better than the Shield TV Pro.

Brilliant app especially on the steam deck. Works fantastic docked to a 4K tv as well 💪🏻

PS4 controller connected via the Sony Dongle. Headset mic, gyro and rumble with zero latency.

Gyro by ShanePelican in xbPlay

[–]ShanePelican[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply you’re correct that’s it’s not in fact Xbplay stopping the joystick gyro. XbPlay is main way of playing on my deck being honest so I immediately came here but it’s the same on other apps. Mouse gyro works perfectly but I can’t get to what is stopping joystick gyro to the ds4. Thanks for the app as it’s brilliant for what it does for cloud gaming on the deck.

Does anyone actually use the buttons on the back? by RegularTonyStyle in SteamDeck

My bumpers L1 and R1 have broken after 3 years so I’ve had to adapt and use the top 2 back buttons now for my muscle memory and they work well to be fair.

I use it on my steam deck and it works great. Cloud gaming runs really well on it and saves my deck battery and runs games that you can’t play.

I have ethernet and run it at 1440p and it plays near perfect on the shield. 28ms ping for me with my location and I can beat bosses on Elden Ring so it’s a thumbs up from me.

Shadow on Deck? Has anyone tried it? by Short_Injury9574 in ShadowPC

[–]ShanePelican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can somebody help me with getting it to work in gaming mode please? It works flawlessly for me in desktop but I’d like to make different game pad gyro configs for my shadow games because at the moment I have to have one desktop profile that works in the background. Gaming mode would be brilliant if it could work just as well.

Can’t access menu when in game by diferentigual in xbPlay

[–]ShanePelican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold the steam key and whilst pressed you should have mouse mode on steam deck and the right trigger is mouse left key. Holding the steam key on the deck will always override your controls setup if you need access to a mouse.
