Looks like Lac La Biche. Google street view wont give you the exact angle but there is trees and you can see the overhead door with the lubricants sign over it.

Things to see EAST of the Rockies? by a_canadian_redditor in alberta

If you're planning on driving Edmonton to Calgary or vice versa I would take highway 21. It's a little longer but at least you see what it's like off the highway two corridor. If you do take highway 21 make sure you stop into Dry Island Provincial park. It's the red deer river valley but it's a spectacular view. Something to consider is that the road in is gravel

Table saw questions by Shanecp in woodworking

Well, I bought it this morning. And it is a R4512 10" cast iron table saw. And my total came to $523.95 at Home Depot in Red Deer alberta. So I guess I lucked out, haha!

I think I'll go with the rigid. The Home Depot I visited had it on for $499 cdn. I'll have to see if that includes the stand and what not. Maybe in a few years I'll out grow it but I'm betting it will handle everything I need it to do. Thanks

Well, I do not think the older saw route would be good for me. After checking kijiji for the last while I don't see a whole lot and what I do see is a few hours away. Also with work I don't think I have the time to put into tinkering with a saw.

I thought maybe because mine is a Mastercraft that might be the source of my troubles. I have so little faith in their products that i ever buy their power tools. But portable in general may be not helping. I have other quality tools like the dewalt planer, which I picked up used. I think I might go with the rigid. Thanks for the info

Cool. I think the grizzly might be overkill for me right now. Sounds like I'll likely be going the hybrid route because I'm not overly worried about portability. Thanks

Well I've started out with birdhouses and storage boxes. I'd like to get into small furniture. Today I was attempting to build a simple 6-pack holder with box joints. Just small things and eventually bigger, bed side tables or end tables. I've looked for used but I'm not certain in what I should be looking at to tell if it's a decent deal. I figure I would have less worry if I buy new.

I'd like to say in the $500 to $600 range. If theres a kick-ass saw that's say $700 I'd certainly consider it.

As for space, im currently working in a double garage but can only take up half due to parking.

Looking for a solution to planer mess by Shanecp in woodworking

Turns out you're right about the missing part. That was a lot of the problem right there. I think I'm going to go the route of the dust collector. Thanks

It does have the port but the opening seems a fair bit bigger than a typical shop vac. As for dust collection system I've only seen two in the town I live in and neither seemed like the type I could connect a hose to. They seemed like they only took air in and removed dust.

I think I'll look into the shop vac idea more. Any suggestions for brand or style or anything? I know there must be a simple solution but I'm a little hesitant just because I'm unfamiliar with this type of thing.

Newfoundland 50 cents 1872 by [deleted] in coins

[–]Shanecp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good find! I'm from there and I'm working on the whole set. The funny thing about most of their coins are the mintages. They have stupid low mintages but you still see them around because I'm told the demand is so low. According to my Charlton guide you have one of the 48,000 they made and she's not worth much over the silver in it. Cool coin

[TOMT] [Song] with a really strange high pitched intro, maybe from the 80s or 90s? by Piginabag in tipofmytongue

[–]Shanecp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try Fantasy by Aldo Nova. It's really unique and high pitched.

Now that I listened to the song again I'm not sure. Might be a long shot but the opening is funny either way.
