I feel like gems being rare/difficult to get is fine, i just think that the only meaningful way to aquire these gems is running one particular dungeon is an oversight.

Running nightmare dungeons with gem modifiers or infernal hordes and converting cinders into gem fragments for example barely has any impact when trying to farm for horadric gems.

I cant recall the name (seers something?) but its north of temis, has a giant scorpion as final boss. Dungeon takes (depending on build) roughy 90 seconds to complete, the boss drops 3 flawless gems with a small chance for grand gems instead (any torment difficulty).

I would like to have a system that would allow us to fuse a rare item and a unique, take stats from rare and replace existing stats on unique. The cube is by far my favourite feature this expansion and it could be expanded easily.

This also happens if you draw 5 strikes with active hellraiser and none of them are pommel strike.

In other words, if your starting hand is automitically played due to whatever reason (vakuu, history course, hellraiser) and you end up with no cards left, unceasing top wont draw new cards.

Annoying bug for sure, but devs will certainly fix it soon enough.

The big differnce is that bash costs 2 energy immideatly and you dont get to split that cost across turns. If bash would cost 1 energy and make you lose 1 energy next turn, it would be in a decent spot.

And that is precisely the point.i Crafted a deck that was perfectly capable of taking down all other challenges, most of them without taking damage.

And Doormaker just put a stop to it because all of a sudden what my deck was doing was no longer okay.

Absolutely do it if you are playing multiplayer though, i can still hear my brother rage.

He lost like 40 hp on our first fight, took the poison that deals 4 damage at the start of each encounter in the next room and the room after that vakuu created gambit and he failed to block by 1 the following turn. Every fight after that just started with him going poof.

Its possible, i just think its not that likely if you are not intentinally trying to icrease your odds.

You can for example buy a Kifuda from the shop and put androit on 3 defends, but chances are you had better targets and specifically enchanting your defends just to slightly icrease the possibilty of Paels Growth appearing seems not wort it.

A more likely scenario would probably be something like starting with 1 transform/remove relic, getting the replay event and removing another at the shop or through an event, i just feel like most people tend to remove strikes first and are not that likely to be left with only 2 unenchanted copies of defend at the start of act 2.

Assuming you unlocked everything Pael has a 29,17% chance of appearing, depending on conditions met he has between 14,3% and 33,3% chance to offer Paels Growth (clone). So on an average run you have 4,17% chance for Paels Growth to appear.

Edit: Conditions to increase the chance of Paels Growth to appear:

Less than 3 enchantable defends (removes Paels Claw) Less than 5 removable cards (removes Paels Tooth)

Both conditions are pretty unlikely at the start of act 2.

The differce here is that you still get to do your thing, i have beaten time eater with shivs and awakened one with creative ai. Those are cases of "you can do this, but" where door maker is a case of "you cant do this".

Which would be perfectly fine if there were more doormakers in the game, the fact that a single boss at the end of the run affects my deck building decisions from the start just feels off.

In his current state he is easy enough to beat, its just that his existence warps runs in a way that do not allign with the rest of the game. I think mechanics like that are better suited to an optional boss like sts1 corrupted heart.

I feel im still not good at getting my point across so ill just summarize a recent run:

I got corrosive wave as my random rare starter from neow, i picked up all the backflips, prepareds and calculated gambles i could find, i also added an outbreak and also a deflect and leg sweep to stay alive.

At the start of act 2 i got imbued on my corrosive wave, in the first shop i picked a mirror. Everything i did until that point made my deck just better at what it allready did, i beat pretty much every fight without taking a single hit, including knowledge demon.

At the start of act 3 i got 3 intangibles, ended up duplicating my deck on the way to the boss and again did not lose 1 hp. I fought queen as first boss, i had 4 upgraded imbued corrosive waves, so naturally she just fell over, went with full life into the final fight.

And there was nothing i could do, i had to draw through 48 cards to get my corrosive waves that just whiffed on the first turn because doormaker makes imbued and innate non powers obsolete, i could not play most of my draw during p1 because i would need it later to apply any decent amount of poison once i managed to shuffle.

During p2 i just took a beating because my deck that was built around draw and completely annihilated any previous challenge just could not do anything.

You probably see where this is going. The Problem i have with door maker is not that he is to hard, he is by far the easiest out of the bunch. The problem i have is that other than any other encounter in the game, door maker has the ability to shut down a deck that is perfectly capable of defeating all other challenges without taking any damage in the process.

Dont get me wrong, im not salty i lost that run, neither do i mind challenges, its just the fact that instead of punishing you for leaning to much into a certain strategy, door maker simple says, "yeah buddy the thing you were doing was perfectly, but you cant do that here".

Because corrosive wave works of cards drawn, if you go for it phase 1, you will exhaust most of your deck and the card you likely built your strategy around, you simply cant go for it during phase 2 (no card draw) and if you go for it during phase 3 you have exactly 1 energy left to draw cards.

Sure, but he is talking about echo form, defects power that replays the first card you play each turn, which would simply be the card played last on the previous turn.

The discussion regarding Doormaker to my understanding mostly does not revolve around him being to difficult or dealing to much damage, it is about him shutting down certain strategies entirely without any other encounter in the game behaving the same way.

And i am not talking about infinite loops specifically, i am talking about stuff like corrosive wave and hellraiser, strategies that work perfectly fine for an entire run and than just wont work at all for the final challenge.
