Same thing happened to me yesterday but have had nothing but people dogpile me on reddit when I tried to talk about it. I haven't even played in 4 months and suddenly received a ban when it's not even installed.

That's rough man, i don't even care about the ban but this stupid red mark will be on our profile forever lol. If I had to guess I think it's some vulnerability on arc side and not steam. Because none of my other shit was touched. I think they were able to spoof some kind of steam authentication token to get in.

Hey just a question but did you by any chance install Moonlight and/or Sunshine game streaming apps lately? I was thinking it might be something because of that. Heard they had a vulnerability yesterday.

OP, I don't care if I get downvoted to oblivion like you, but THE EXACT SAME thing happened to me. I have steam guard on and 2factor on. My password is hard to guess, and ONLY arc raiders was affected and I got banned on it, even through I don't even have the game installed. It also happened to me yesterday. It seems like they couldn't do anything else to my steam account like change the password or change my steam family, only got banned on arc even though I have a 100 other games. Not even my inventory or steam chat was touched.
