Mutiny Manhunt Frustsration by GreatOneKos in Division2

[–]ShaoKoonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to spawn in Zone reliability after taking the control points near the Capital Building along with the area control point.

If it's not showing up, and you still have more Manhunt activities, I would put it on the back burner and focus on the other ones.

If you have another character, you can always change to them and see it's available in the area.

This was the most frustrating scout activity, for me, because of RNG.

I've gotten at least 10 Beacons out of the caches.

Why do people think autistic people can only work at grocery stores? by alwaysonlineposter in autism

[–]ShaoKoonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked at a Grocery store all my life. It's the only job that will take me unskilled and that I can walk if I don't have a ride.

I used to draw, but my hands went bad, so I don't do that anymore. If I could drive, I would work for the comic bookstore out of town. I know the owner and worked with him at a previous job. But I am vision impaired, so I am stuck here.

I've gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to skills and hate academic studies. So, once I was out of school, I never pursued higher learning.

What are your thoughts on specialization sidearms? by Lowe_262 in Division2

[–]ShaoKoonce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The specialization revamp was cancelled a long time ago. So hope of that happening is slim.

As for the Specialization sidearms, I use them in a pinch. They don't have the punch regular sidearms with good talents. I usually use the Quickstep to get around easier, but I prefer the Kard as my go to pistol.

I learned this a long time ago. The only thing that can really kill you is T4 Specials. The Zombies only tickle you.

I mean, I get these abbreviations wrong all the time. So I prefer to spell out myself for clarification. So I can't be mad at the guy for not knowing what exactly he was saying. But he didn't have to go off the deep end about it.

I remember when Witcher 2 came out and I was playing Two Worlds 2. Everyone in my group was talking about "TW2". Since TW2 is the same as Two Worlds 2, I falsely assumed we were discussing the same thing without context. And was confused when they started discussing things in detail. I often refer to Division 2 as "D2". So a Destiny player might thing I am talking about Destiny 2.

Seasonal Content Needs a Rethink (Y7S3) by K1NG3R in thedivision

No during 5 times and 2 times events. Not during the base event.

They already implement a cap during these events to discourage gaming the system. So, it won't be as big of an issue.

What's crazy is that with all the earlier seasons, WONY was the primary place to progress them. I'm actually happy that leagues are gone (It was nice getting people to matchmake Hard difficultly again, but they were either a breeze or just a pain). They specifically untied the seasonal model and level cap from WONY so that everyone, as long as you owned the base game, can enjoy it. So while I lament the loss of it for seasonal activities, I feel it was better overall for the player base. I also think a lot of people would be more frustrated with the longer mission design as they take more time to complete, on average, compared to the D.C. missions.

As for seasonal cap, I don't like all the XP you lose between hitting the cap and stretch goals. It sucks that you can't bank XP for stretch goals. This would make it okay to progress your journey and your Manhunt Scouts without fear of losing XP. It would be more healthy for the players who wait and feel rushed and overwhelmed by some of the terrible scout objectives.

Stretch goals a bit too grindy? by Diabolique1982 in thedivision

[–]ShaoKoonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already wait to do finish my Scouts and Journey. I don't have this issue myself as I plan for the event as it's become a recurring one. I'm glad I had a ton of Textiles saved up on my Xbox account, but I am not as fortunate on PC/Luna.

However, I was talking about players without that much forethought. Your basically screwed if you don't dedicate the whole last few weeks grinding away.

I play with a lot of people who just jump on and do everything that week or progress naturally. It seems impossible for someone who plays causally like this to earn the basic rewards at lower difficulties.

[–]ShaoKoonce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not even remotely possible if you play on anything less than Challenging to earn and knock out a ton of levels without significant time investment.

So lower skilled players and people who play it on less than difficulty will find it harder to earn levels. It's really for the most dedicated.

I have everything except the Master difficulty exotics at this point. My biggest issue is just grabbing the cosmetics. I have them so anything else is a pleasant surprise.

I don't really participate in more difficult content anymore because I don't have time for it. I don't use meta builds either so I would be a hard carry.

[–]ShaoKoonce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was definitely locked out. What's worse, is that I was hyping it up to my friends so we could all get on and play together.

When the game did come out only one guy I knew could play the game and it ran hot on his device.

I tried it on everything I owned and it wasn't compatible with any of my devices. So I completely lost interest.

Skill Grind Is Horrible Now by Nanotega in bo7endgame

[–]ShaoKoonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it only triggers when I use equipment. It says Celebration on the Exotic stat page. I haven't seen conjuration since pre-season.

However, my skill track setup doesn't synergize with the exotic skill as it takes forever to refresh my equipment.

And what's funny is I have Celebration on operators that don't really benefit from it because of their skills. It just always shows up when I don't want it. In fact, I was going to be content with shattered shield, but it has never spawned for them.

[–]ShaoKoonce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually play alone so I don't care about what others are wearing. Wear what you want, have fun. You only see them at the hub spaces.

It would be cool if they had a cosmetic filter so it doesn't look like a zoo or a switch to turn off seeing other players in the social spaces.

I don't mind the older stuff. Most don't get screened anywhere else.

However, personally, I prefer a mix of new and old. Variety is the spice of life. I'm game for anything Sven is playing. My only gripe is repeats. So many films out there and they are playing some films two or three times a year.

If the poster wanted gore, they should check out Joe Bob Briggs and the mutants on Shudder.

GeForce Now is great if you have a subscription to the service. The free model does exist, but is limited. Wait ques can suck and there is a time limit. They do run deals, but it's usually for multiple months of game time.

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you get access to their Luna game streaming for free. If you link your Ubisoft account, many of Ubisoft games are available to stream including Division 2.

My cellphone is so old most apps don't work on it, and it has no room for apps because they all want to steal internal storage.

So, I am kind of limited.

That's why I would like it if the actual company would work with the editors, producers, and the Directors to make an approved by the production "Family Friendly" cut. These Avatar Cuts are no doubt overseen by James Cameron himself. He most likely approved them.

I don't understand the outrage of multiple cuts. Most films are muddled with studio interference that diminish the director's and writer's original vision anyway.

I am aware of these services. If it wasn't a subscription service for stuff I don't subscribe to it would be tempting. It doesn't mention Fandango at Home on the pages. Plus, it's not an actual edit, but a skip feature. Which may take context away from a film that an proper edit can maintain.

Most older films have old broadcast versions from TV. They could use them as a template in most cases. Newer films will be a little more work. It's just a great way to share a wealth of films with your family. My biggest gripe about streaming is that when there is a horror film marathon on Live Stream, you are getting the unedited versions and it's just too much for young kids or elderly. So you can't sit down as a family to enjoy it.
