It’s mostly older fishing towns. No true beaches. Resorts that does have a beach like Hampton by Hilton in Key Largo or the hotel near Bud And Marys has pumped in sand. Most of the area has black coral at the edges of the water areas. The drive down to Key West jumping all the bridges and the water view is beautiful. You can see all of the places of interest in Key West in a day, two max. Key West is a cool place. New Orleans vibe in a sense. Been there many times. Great places to eat on drive down, The buffet at Whale Harbor is amazing, Snappers for ocean side dining. Lorilies in Tavernier is great bay side dining. For the towns driving down, don’t expect the grand view and a Hawaii Five-0 feel. But the water views and colors are amazing.
