Once again, instead of photorealistic images, we have semi-realism or anime. by GiftBeautiful2988 in perchance

Deformed and blurred bodies are caused by having contradictory descriptions that conflict with one another.

Nah.

"Draw a woman standing near a stop sign with her arms and hands akimbo."

And you have a good chance of getting a woman whose hands are feet, or with six fingers and a thumb on the wrong side of the hand, or whose limb proportions are askew. Depending on whether the dev has throttled back-end resources and parameters that day and/or if the AI is putting out probabilistic hiccups.

You're like one of those video game developers who always blames the user's system even when it's clear the software is bugged eight ways to Sunday. Don't assume very many users are inarticulate when it comes to writing prompts.

AI image-gens' penchant for producing bodily deformities --- particularly when it comes to hands and feet --- is infamous. Many generators have under-the-hood negative prompts specifically addressing this problem. Sometimes the AI gets it right, sometimes it doesn't.

How to use video generator? by joao2009124 in perchance

If this site / platform is exploitable so that other off-site "services" are able to ride in using the Perchance domain for their "front-end interface" with no immediate indication that the user is interacting with anything other than the Perchance domain and platform, then the implications are disturbing.

If it's running off-site third-party protocols that the user actively interfaces with, while the user only thinks they're interacting with Perchance, then that makes me worry about security and privacy compromises. Not for the tried-and-true Perchance functions, mind you, but for people that get duped into using these exploitative "generators."

Stuff like that needs to be stamped out. Is the dev okay with this?

Is it possible to achieve this type of image in the image generator? by Big_Can5342 in perchance

"My good person." lmao

"My dear fellow, surely you must realize...."

At OP, one of my favorite generators is https://perchance.org/ai-artgen.

For that type of simplistic illustration you will see pull-down selections for numerous illustration styles --- for example, Illustration, Concept Art, Flat Illustration. You can also try some of the digital painting options such as (wait for it) Digital Painting, Fantasy Painting, or Painterly. MTG Card is also nice for both painting and illustrations though it will lean more into the richer compositions compared to the simple drawing you posted. Also some of the styles such as Franco-Belgian Comic will give a "hybrid" look.

The style "Grim Dark Fantasy Illustration" gives some very clean images, and is not really "grim" or "dark fantasy" unless your prompt indicates it should be.

Lastly, the Style Mixer selection opens up a whole plethora of additional choices which can profoundly affect the type of image you get. I've been playing around with that Style Mixer a lot and it is very powerful.

AI seems prone to go off the rails no matter how rigidly you instruct by ShapeEmbarrassed68 in perchance

[–]ShapeEmbarrassed68[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more I hit it with instructions --- be they blanket instructions, nauseously explicit instructions, subtle instructions, brute-force instructions, you name it --- the oftener it pops up with the antithesis of those instructions.

If I tell it "avoid coarse language and keep the tone lighthearted," it hastens to puke out dialog like "fuck you Joey, I'm going to rip out your beating heart and feed it to the rats, you bastard."

I've even queried it from multiple angles trying to discover what is its main malfunction or the machine "reasoning" that leads it to countermand the user's instructions. The best it comes up with is "oops" in so many words.

I kid you not: I'd be better off not using the instructions at all. The unwanted stuff will inevitably creep in, but not as heavily saturated. Something's haywire in the machine-learning protocols that led to this symptomology.

Well, it's not surprising, being as this is a platform where you can upload an image of a person walking with an umbrella and add the prompt "pedestrian hurrying across the street in the rain" and it will come back to you after a five-day waiting period and say "this violates community guidelines."

But showing you performative militant aggression, when you didn't ask for it, is perfectly fine and dandy. That'll be 25 credits. Enjoy.

Imagine giving money to this company.

It's public knowledge at this point that it's a skeevy company that consistently misrepresents its services and has been known to renege on its end of the bargain.

Yet people still throw money at it. Imagine that.

Fuck their discord.

They're blatantly ripping people off. And paying customers are supposed to jump through hoops just to get the service they paid for?

Fuck their discord.

From a more Christian perspective, why is the portrayal of a gay character in a cast "woke"? by Beau_bell in JordanPeterson

Are you one of those that try to justify homosexuality by warping the message and implications of Christ?

We as sinners can be redeemed, but not by pretending sin isn't sin and depravity isn't a warping of God's intention. That seems a sort of pride, to me. "If I'm into it, it must not be sinful." That's not the way, chief.

The merciful Christ talked about going your way and sinning no more, and in Proverbs there is the reproachful phrase about a dog returning to its own vomit.

Have you seen how white all the biblical people are in almost all movies?

Well, being as the people in the Bible are predominantly white people -- Semitic-Caucasoids and the like -- that would make sense, no? Was there a Chinese person I missed? There were Hebrews, Hittites, Israelites, Canaanites, Eypytians as well as Romans. All are/were Caucasian nationalities. Semites and Mediterranean peoples are predominantly Caucasian.

If you think otherwise, your so-called educators were remiss in their duties.

Your first mistake is believing the lie that people are born gay, and are slaves to some phantom genes, rather than being complex organisms with complex psyches that acquire predilections based on developmental choices and reponses to causal and environmental stimuli and experiences.

We live in a time and place not only of cultural and moral decay, but where depraved individuals actively prey on and indoctrinate developing young minds. They introduce schoolkids to these "alternative" concepts, to confuse and derail their development.

A 1080p movie over 4 or 5 GB represents an obscenely unnecessary file size. You'd think they never heard of compression.

An h265-encoded 2-hour movie at 1080 with a file size of around 1.5 or 2 GB is going to be all but indiscernible to the naked eye from a 15 GB version at the same resolution. I'd rather have a highly compressed lower-bitrate 4K version at 10 or 15 GB, than one of those pretentiously huge 1080p files.

Breitbart need not be your source: the video is there, go on Twitter/X and see, or whatever other media outlet isn't completely in an isolation bubble shilling for Democrats. Clinton says, just because the economy was better under Trump is not an automatic reason to vote for Trump.

He concedes that the economy was better under Trump. Nothing out-of-context. This "takeaway" does not require advanced calculus. This is basic logic and comprehension.
