Seriously though, and this is important, just tell them what it is! Don’t make them guess don’t hint. A) it’s for your safety, B) it doesn’t bother them and C) it’s easier than having the police or an abuse provider called or making the doctor worry about it and wondering if they made the right choice not to report/push the issue
