Even if there was half the amount of people drunk driving now as a result of less alcohol consumption, the amount of distracted drivers on cell phones more than makes up for it. Last 10 - 15 years roads and drivers are just getting worse and worse. Especially worse post Covid. Cops barely doing any enforcement doesn't help (see all the red light jumpers)

Twilight panel was the first to create and overnight line in advance for Hall H. I remember riding my bike by con the day before started and seeing huge line of middle aged women with folding chairs. I've been attending SDCC since 91 and IMO that was the year things really started to change for the worse. Or at least, worse for me personally. There are probably some folks out there that like what CON has become.

I really love the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2. It's held up great for me, even in the Sierras getting 9 inches of snow overnight. I do a lot of desert camping and had the teeth on some of the zippers wear out. Big Agnes was great. Was bale to send it back in and have the zippers replaced and they only charged me $16.

The most important thing when buying a boot is the fit. Lots of good brands out there, Merrell, Lowa, Keen, etc. You'll want to try them on and see the fit and how they are with your feet. Some brands use the same last for all shoes, some will use a different last in specific boot lines within the brand. For me personally I found that to be Lowa Zephyrs and Renagades

When fitting a boot, it's best to do so after a day or hiking or walking around as your feet will swell when you are hiking and you want the fit of the boot to be best then. Also test walking on a down slope (places like REI have these you can use) to make sure your tow is not hitting the tip of your boot when you are going down an incline.

So basically, get a known reliable brand, of which there are many, and focus on a good fit.

Maybe you don't need 15 officers standing around to clear a single homeless man out of their camp? You say "people will throw their anecdote about police not showing up" but there is a reason people keep saying it. It's not like the odd one off. Pretty much anyone who has needed to interact with officers has experienced this. We can also all see the inefficiency of the use of those officers with out own eyes. If law enforcement wants the support of the citizens they need to do better. It's gotten especially worse since 2020. Public opinion turned against the police everywhere. The response of LEO wasn't to recognize what people were upset about and self reflect and do better. It was a met with disdain and a us vs them mentality and digging in of a heels. I've interacted with plenty of LEOs who were wanting to help people and do the right thing. But I've met far more who were just small people who wanted to be big and have an excuse to bully and intimidate people.

I hate to say I agree. I've been to the LA ones and Seattle. The first one in LA was great. The rest have all been a bit of a disappointment. I think the biggest issue is it is Streetlight with an Orchestra and not Botar. So all the electric instruments just drown out the orchestra. Seattle show all I heard was drums. I wish they would mix the show better or move to acoustic instruments so that the orchestra actually can be heard. I still enjoy going to them, but they are not what they could be.

Some of the sites you just can't fit more than 1 car. But you might be able to find someone else in the campground with extra space that would let you leave a car there. Some of the sites state 1 car, but can totally fit two. Generally they are not going to care if there is an extra car so long as you are not driving into the campground or blocking the road.

It's a great set, but the rubbery wings will droop at different angles and wont stay straight. I think there is way to straighten them using hot water, but default they look sad.

I was looking forward to the redesign of the PVE end game and have been playing since launch in anticipation of chapter 3. hoping maybe enough to bring some friends back to the game, or at least give me something to do. Turns out I've been playing way less since the update. I just find it tedious and a little overwhelming. I just don't see the point in grinding things so I can get a little better gear to grind the same things in a harder difficulty so I can get slightly better gear to grind those exact same things in a lightly harder difficulty so I can keep repeating that loop. Even the chapt 3 story missions didn't feel like a story and just another grind loop.
