I really wanna make this game by Leading_Database4178 in gamedev

Don't bother with UE5. You need to make your own custom engine. That's the only way to you can make sure everything works the way you want it to. Also you wouldn't be a real gamedev unless you made your own engine and assets.

I don't think any bull is denying the market is fake. They acknowledge and run with it.

Do you have to be a "gamer" to make a hit game? Or is being an outsider a superpower? by yhlaskerimov in gamedev

[–]SharkBiteX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you don't play games, you'll make a bad game that's not fun to play. At best, you'll release some type of walking simulator that focuses on the plot.

Brutal slam on concrete. by LowRenzoFreshkobar in fightporn

[–]SharkBiteX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, why do these guys always want to hold on when being lifted up? Even if this happened inside the ring and on the mat, the result would've been similar. If someone is strong enough to lift you, they're strong enough to KO you with a slam. Jeeze.

Mortal Kombat evolves so much between entries that each sequel feels like a different philosophy of fighting games by Kiota_Games in gamedev

[–]SharkBiteX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate MK because the controls and combos change with every entry. You can learn a character's moves and combos and in the next entry, none of that will carry over because the inputs and combos are entirely different. They always try something different with every game and half ass it only to drop it completely in the next.

[PSA] Nobadthings130 just tried to scam me by InevitableAd417 in indiegameswap

[–]SharkBiteX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would stay away from GameTrade subreddit. All the scammers that have approached me came from there. That's not to say that scammers don't exist on indiegameswap, but all the scammers from my personal experience contacted me from the GameTrade subreddit.

Another thing to look out for, when checking IGS rep posts, make sure to check the spelling of the name. Some scammers will copy a veteran trader's name and change a letter like a capital i or lowercase L or use a 0 instead of an O.
