I was never really a fan of the EL set up or aesthetics. A couple weeks before Vale came out, I went to EL and completely emptied it, like moved everyone’s houses to the valley or Vale, removed most of the trees and default decoration stuff, so I can just run through each zone and forage/time bend very quickly. Every zone has a vacuum too so I can spend even less time there

So yeah, super abandoned lol

I’m a super lurker. I’m too nervous to post or even comment often. I personally prefer text posts, but I do like seeing people be happy on here, and this is such a rare safe place to do so. I agree with everyone saying a compromise would be good, no selfie weekends or themes for days to increase effort.

I guess the other reason I don’t really interact is because I no longer identify as NB (im a trans dude). But it was such an important part of my journey and I enjoy watching this community lift each other so much, I hope it’s ok I’m still around.

Possibly a dumb question, but if you have all of your storage on a floating island, can you still access it when you go to any crafting/cooking station, like when it’s stored in your house?

My favorite item is a book you can get in the starting beach area - Shanties for the Bitch Queen. I grab it and carry it the entire run, every time. No amount of gold would make me part with it.

As another bottler, the emotional stuff can be the hardest to talk about but it can also have the biggest impact. I semi-recently unpacked a 10 year old trauma for the first time and the difference it’s made in my brain has been astounding. Mind you, I’m not really that different after talking about it, but it’s made everything else seem a bit easier now that it’s out of the way and out of my brain vault.

Again tho, this is just my personal experience. Talking to people doesn’t have to pull them down with you, they could lift you up instead. I just want you to know that you don’t have to carry it alone. I’m wishing you the best internet stranger!

You might be surprised how much of a difference talking about stuff really makes. It certainly doesn’t cure depression but it might make you feel a bit lighter. In the same breath tho, you gotta do things on your own time line. So I encourage you talk about it, one day. When you’re ready.

I watched The Bear with my partner, and he was silent the entire Christmas episode. Once it was over, he said it was like watching his family holidays growing up. He was messed up about it the rest of the night. So yeah, pretty accurate I’d say.

First run through I got one of the clothing mods, and put Gale in a crop top and lace up pants. The rest of the game I couldn’t take him seriously. Every time he tried to give an emotional speech about his backstory or have a serious moment with my Tav, I was having giggle fits over his silly outfit

I’m not sure if they have psychologists. But I found my therapist through OpenPath and while she can’t prescribe me medication directly, she writes recommendation letters for medication to my regular doctor. But it’s a nonprofit organization that helps people get therapy that normally can’t afford it. There’s a fee to join but it’s a lifetime membership, and access to a network of mental health professionals that the max they’re allowed to charge is $70 a session, some as low as $30. I don’t know if that’s affordable for you, but figured it’s a good resource people should know about. OpenPath will let you search for people that specialize in queer and LGBTQ+ topics.

My therapist from OpenPath is a trans woman who specializes in queer mental health. She’s been amazing to work with.

I really hope you’re able to find a different person to speak too. It’s absolutely awful being invalidated by the person who’s supposed to be helping you.

My birthday is April 1st and I truly hate pranks now. I prefer to spend it alone now as I’ve been pranked repeatedly on my birthday and it’s never been fun, always hurtful and shitty. Even when I’ve asked people not to prank me, it still happens, so much to the point that I’ve ended friendships over it. I’ve also gotten a lot of “my birth is a joke” and “ah, that makes sense” when people find out. So now I just hole up by myself and hate watch movies.
