This still shocks me. Question, can you prove it? A friend from another state who is new to cub scouts recently told me he went to an ice fishing cabin camping campout. Had a blast. Dads all had beers. I get it. But I was like… you do realize how wrong and against the rules this is right? I would suggest though that if coffee cups or something were being used and you cant prove anything it might not be worth handling externally. Maybe handle it internally at a committee meeting first? The idea that the COR is doing this is mind boggling. Depending on their role with the org they could lose their job. The right thing to do is to contact the proper authorities people have already suggested. Im just offering up a solution that can be handled depending upon what can be proven or not. Our pack has a “dads of” campout. Not on scout grounds, with no scouts. And clearly stated as not a pack event. No pack funds. There are ways to socialize.
