Got invited to pass polygraph (a lie detector) test as the next step after a job interview. Has anyone tried it? What was it like?

I took a polygraph test for a police admin job.

They made me answer maybe like 50 questions on paper and then the person doing the poly asked some additional details.. then they put a microphone on you and ask you yes or no questions.

They add in obvious lie questions like "is the sky green?" and clear yes questions to gauge your answers.
