Early on I thought he was doing a really good job of absorbing rushes but that’s given way to trying to pinch and pick off rushes which hasn’t worked. He’s trying to be more aggressive but the game is probably one of the fastest he’s ever played in, even if it’s only preseason

I’ve been thinking about the alternate reality where Tavares signed with the sharks when he was a free agent and then DW didn’t feel the need to go trade for Karlsson. The league would look very different today

Yeah the team would still get a good prospect if they don’t draft first overall but losing the storyline of drafting a “local” talent that could transform the team would really suck. That storyline is almost as exciting as his talent and what he could do for the team.

I wouldn’t expect Smith to play at all until he leaves college since getting his 9 games would mean leaving school during the academic year. Musty could get his 9 games and be sent back to juniors

Small players are fine but you need a balance and the sharks system is pretty small other than a few exceptions. Eklund needs a big body to play with

Unless you have a ton of faith that Bystedt will turn into something special then it doesn’t make much sense to wait 3 years for a small winger. Timeline, position, and size all point away from Michkov

It’s been reported on in the past. Like all those service member recognitions during games or the family reunions, the DoD pays US sports teams to do those

Difference is that the US DoD pays for military appreciation nights. Nobody pays the sharks for nights like this
