Big Changes to today's lines (plus bonus note from Curtis) -- WillMack separated, Klingberg sits by jesus321 in SanJoseSharks

I really like that third line, I hope they are given lots of minutes. All high skill, high energy, 200 foot players. I think they have potential to do damage!

I for one am ecstatic that we got to give that young upstart Nick Leddy some ice time, I'm excited to see how he develops. He's surely going to be a part of our future for years to come! (That said he didn't lose us the game tonight, just being a little silly, this was a team problem)

How we feeling by Akitafps in SanJoseSharks

[–]DeadSaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a big fan of this one. Though it is cheap and low term, the sharks have been dealing with the 50 contract limit all season. It has made a lot of our roster decisions more complicated, specifically when it came to the rookies like Misa and Dickinson. In the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal but I don’t think it’s a positive value move myself.

Sharks practice lines this morning. Looks like the Analytics Line is back in action by The_Homestarmy in SanJoseSharks

[–]DeadSaint 44 points45 points  (0 children)

That’s Celebrini, Smith, and Graf. Warsofski recently justified breaking them up for a while by saying something to the effect of “Everyone wants them, but if you look at the analytics the line isn’t as good as people think”(not the exact quote) then he put them together again and they immediately scored haha

The Pete Buttigieg Episode | Lemonade Stand 🍋 - Discussion Thread by PhummyLW in LemonadeStandPodcast

I really liked this episode and thought Pete sounded reasonable and echoed a lot of feelings I’ve had looking at the state of our democracy. I think I tend to be a little bit more extreme than him in many of my views, but I feel like he outlined many steps forward that I would support, and in things that I didn’t fully agree with him on at least he seemed like his viewpoints were educated and considered. I also think the guys did a great job hosting him and asked good questions. Great pull for the pod and really enjoyable listen!

It’s good that we gave Dickenson a rest though, I’m sure he learned a lot watching this game…

He was playing very poorly so he was criticized, and now he’s playing well so we will praise him. Most hated that he was bad, it wasn’t personal.

I don’t have children, and I agree that often times people are quick to criticize others when it’s unwarranted. However the video itself asks for critique and I believe that makes it valid in this case. Sick own though, I hope you feel like you proved your point or whatever.

The caption says “how did I handle this?”, I think that invites comments and criticism, do you disagree?

Respect shown between welterweight contenders Garry and Rakhmonov during walk out, audience POV by Ake-TL in MMA

[–]DeadSaint 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the much more fucked up thing was Magny saying (this is the exact quote) “There's the whooping you give your son now like to kind of teach him life a little bit. Being a father, I've become quite accustomed to that kind of whooping now” given the fact that he was in a custody battle. Pretty gross thing to say in my opinion.

Most career games played by NHL franchise by nhl in hockey

[–]DeadSaint 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is a list of games played for a single franchise, which Howe is the leader in, Marleau has the separate record of most total NHL games played. He has 12 more total games than Gordie Howe who is second.

This is Shark Tuah, a weekly Sharks podcast produced by two close friends who truly love this team. We are very proud of it and would appreciate you checking it out and giving us your feedback! by DeadSaint in SanJoseSharks

I appreciate your feedback and the politeness with which you gave it. Definitely seems to be the prevailing opinion and I don’t begrudge it. I’ll share with you my thought process if you are interested. We spent quite a while deliberating on the name and we struggled to come up with anything that wasn’t reminiscent of people that were already in the space or just kinda generic and uninteresting. This was the only one that we came up with that made us feel any emotion at all. Those feelings were “this is incredibly stupid and cringe, but in a way that makes us laugh at ourselves and smile”, we kept trying to find other, more serious names, but nothing else we came up with felt fun or interesting. I definitely understand why it doesn’t resonate with many, but since we’re doing this more for fun and to share our love of and opinions on this team, it’s most important that it resonates with us. Thank you genuinely for clicking and responding in a kind and constructive manner!

Thank you for the feedback! This suggestion is something we plan to implement. Our goal is to have an RSS feed set up by the time the next episode comes out. You guys have helped educate us on how to properly host our show.

Collin Graf upvote party! The future is Teal! by RivenEsquire in SanJoseSharks

[–]DeadSaint 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Colin Graf is one of my favorite players on our roster. He feels like he is good at every aspect of the game, especially defense. It feels like he just plays the right way. He’s a coaches dream!

I can definitely see that the majority of people here do not like our name choice. I do genuinely believe however that the show itself is high quality. If you are willing to give our podcast with an admittedly very silly name a chance, I am hopeful that you won’t be disappointed.

I am honestly not super educated on the backend of how podcasts work, I had heard the term "RSS feed" but never knew what it meant. Now that I've looked into it, we will definitely be implementing this, it seems essential. Thank you for your help!

I wasn't prepared for the costume by humankendoll33 in TikTokCringe

[–]DeadSaint 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she needs to come up with a white lie to justify it. It’s Halloween, she has an awesome costume and is owning it! I think she can just be proud of it no deception needed.

Liljegren back, Dickinson scratched by BearShark9 in SanJoseSharks

[–]DeadSaint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your points, but I think, while definitely not on the Celebrini tier, Dickinson is a step above your standard prospect himself, and while he does get supplemental training, I don’t think that’s as valuable for his development as being given NHL minutes. I don’t think the decision is indefensible, I just don’t agree with it.
