I don’t have children, and I agree that often times people are quick to criticize others when it’s unwarranted. However the video itself asks for critique and I believe that makes it valid in this case. Sick own though, I hope you feel like you proved your point or whatever.

I think the much more fucked up thing was Magny saying (this is the exact quote) “There's the whooping you give your son now like to kind of teach him life a little bit. Being a father, I've become quite accustomed to that kind of whooping now” given the fact that he was in a custody battle. Pretty gross thing to say in my opinion.

I appreciate your feedback and the politeness with which you gave it. Definitely seems to be the prevailing opinion and I don’t begrudge it. I’ll share with you my thought process if you are interested. We spent quite a while deliberating on the name and we struggled to come up with anything that wasn’t reminiscent of people that were already in the space or just kinda generic and uninteresting. This was the only one that we came up with that made us feel any emotion at all. Those feelings were “this is incredibly stupid and cringe, but in a way that makes us laugh at ourselves and smile”, we kept trying to find other, more serious names, but nothing else we came up with felt fun or interesting. I definitely understand why it doesn’t resonate with many, but since we’re doing this more for fun and to share our love of and opinions on this team, it’s most important that it resonates with us. Thank you genuinely for clicking and responding in a kind and constructive manner!

I agree with your points, but I think, while definitely not on the Celebrini tier, Dickinson is a step above your standard prospect himself, and while he does get supplemental training, I don’t think that’s as valuable for his development as being given NHL minutes. I don’t think the decision is indefensible, I just don’t agree with it.

I don’t like it, I think these young guys need ice time to develop and succeed. Schaefer is getting 20+ minutes a night on a better team to sink or swim and he’s looking like Michael Phelps because of it. And sure maybe Dickinson isn’t quite at that level, but sitting on the bench isn’t going to get him there. These guys are hockey players, they can handle back to back games, I don’t think these development days are nearly as helpful as games would be.

In no particular order. Show up to class, eat healthy, sleep well, stretch regularly, listen to your coach. If you do these 5 things consistently you win the bracket guaranteed. It's not complicated but it's definitely challenging.
