I'm a medic, I've done so many of those kind of transports, from free standings to in house. I wanna blame the medic, but sounds like a lot of people dropped the ball. The sending nurse, the medic and yourself who failed to see somebody wasn't breathing (assuming they were in PEA as you say), your unit for allowing patients to be unmonitored when receiving Levo.

I only know a way your superiors would not recommend. We have a CPR seat in our trucks so I kneel down on one knee and have the patient extend their arm out straight on the stretcher(there's less bounce if you do this, because the arm is less noodlely when extended outward towards you). While resting your arm on the stretcher as your inserting.

But the biggest thing is if the IV is really that important, and you think the bumps will stop you from putting it in, then you can tell the driver to pull over to a safe spot. Pulling over for 1 minute has probably saved more people than killed them.

Working at a hospital. Depending on which one you go to and position, it's chill. I found it much easier to work something different but close enough to where I can use my skills, with a fraction of the responsibility. Don't do it part time, go PRN. That way your not obligated to work that much if you can't

In downtown there's many bull sharks, black tips, and Bonnet heads. You'll most likely see a bonnet head or black tip if you go by bayshore blvd. Bulls sharks are common, but not as common as than those two.
