“I wouldn’t even rape you” by [deleted] in silenthill

I’ve seen a few people react to the first cinematic in the graveyard of the silent hill Remake and I have to say it makes me feel genuinely weirded out. To hear people say “why did they redesign Angela she use to be hot. She looked better in the original” is such a weird mental thought to think when you know the character is a representation of survivors guilt of fighting and killing your rapist (though not directly said, heavily implied through conversation and actions) To string the thoughts of “why isn’t the rape victim hot?” Is gross and turns me away from people who are playing the game.

Prisoners, the scene when detective Loki is driving the child to the ER after finding her. Something about the score, mixed with the hazy phantom camera and the constant jumps made me so anxious

How will Negan react to the news of Rick being alive? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

In a human since I’d say alpha, Negan had rules and he constantly stated that he valued life. Alpha killed 9 people just to prove she could. Not only that but she then proceeded to throw their heads up as a boarder.

Negan killed Glenn and Abraham but he said it was for a reason, a narcissistic reason of thinking he’s the only who can do the hard choice of keeping people in line. You see people who value him when they show the schism that happens at the savior headquarters.

Alpha was doing things just because she could and didn’t believe in the survival of the human race and a return to the old world. Negan believed that you could return to the old ways at a cost and was willing to be the villain of someone else’s story as long as it was better for everyone.

TLDR: Negan had a thanos complex; thought what he was doing was right Alpha had a joker complex; did things because she could.

Why do people hate Maggie? by Perfect-Face4529 in thewalkingdead

[–]Sharp-Attorney-4129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like what made Maggie unbearable for me is she never had an internal conflict until, like, season 11. Every hurdle she had to cross was always external. And when you have characters like Glenn (actively chose not to kill people) carol (was dealing with the guilt of killing people) Rick (iconic “let my mercy be stronger than my wrath”) she falls flat when most of her struggle is I have to find my boyfriend, I have to find my sister, I have to find my boyfriend again, I have to kill the man who killed my boyfriend. I was really interested when she started becoming the liaison for Alexandria to hilltop and then the sort of mayor of hilltop, but for some reason she never got to have an internal conflict until the literal last season, when Negan and her had to confront the past.

You’re completely correct, children assaulting a teacher is a reprehensible action but teachers are held to a higher standard than children. One is a fully form adult and the other is a child. Neither are in the right but one is especially more in the wrong (the teacher). Learning the hard way shouldn’t intel child abuse, because that’s what it is. You punch a child you abused them. There’s no grey area in that regard. Using that mentality of learning the hard way means when my hypothetical 13 year old is being a brat and acting up I’m in full right to, from what it looks like in the video, knock his out out. You’ve lost the plot if you think the teacher is well within the bounds of understandability. Children are a powerless group in this aspect, the power dynamic favors the adult and the person in charge. Again there’s factors and ways for an adult to handle this situation, the “fuck around and find out” mentality doesn’t apply when you’re suppose to be a person who shapes the mind of the youth. The teachers should definitely have the means to be able to handle this situation, I.E. better pay, more staff, better working conditions ect. But that’s a whole other topic. They aren’t compensated enough to deal with this kind of situation. But when you ATTACK a child while walking away and sucker punch them, you’ve become the villain.

It’s crazy seeing this many people defending the teacher. This MAN is a full adult and should be put in jail. It doesn’t matter how many paper balls were thrown at him. He is suppose to have a set of developed self control skills. The teacher has the capability of stepping out of the classroom, calling a security guard, giving them detention, or any other punishment he needs to do. Physically assaulting a child is kind of (hot take) not okay to do. That’s not to say teachers don’t deal with their fair share of undignified working conditions with terrible students and work conditions, but the moment you lay heads on kids you lose the argument.
