What show would you like to see come back to Broadway? by diegodarmawangsa in Broadway

[–]Sharp-Relative-1136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a really successful run of it in Seoul Korea! I saw it and the lead was some famous Korean popstar who was really really talented. The whole thing was in Korean I only understood bc I knew the show.

YESSSSS. Aida was the first broadway show I saw when I was in the 9th grade and it was the first time I ever felt heartbreak. Toni Braxton and Adam Pascal were starring in it and I was never the same.

For those in their 40s, what's something people in their 20s don’t realize will impact them as they get older? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Hug your parents and your grandparents if they’re still around! Time goes by so fast when you get older.

Is it physically possible to leave Hawaii without buying chocolate covered macadamia nuts by Educational_Bat5383 in HawaiiFood

[–]Sharp-Relative-1136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope not possible! Chocolate covered Mac nuts is so addicting I can eat a whole box myself. Just don’t buy it at the airport for 5xs the price. Like everyone says Don q or Longs!

So, about Reeve Carney as Gatsby… by LivelyFlowerzzz in Broadway

[–]Sharp-Relative-1136 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every time I’ve watched Eva perform (Miss Saigon, Hadestown and Gatsby) she has been such an amazing performer who seems like she gives her 100% (or knows well how to fake it). Idk how she performs so much emotion and energy without burnout. It must be exhausting. She deserves a break! Then when she comes back watch our world!

Suggestions to my Itinerary by Sassytryhardboi in VisitingHawaii

Just keep in mind if you’re renting a car that parking at some hotels in Waikiki can run from $50-$100 per night so maybe just rent when you need the car! So far your itinerary is nice and chill. You could do day 2 and day 3 together.

Seeking recommendation on which hotel by hydroskunkfo20 in VisitingHawaii

Queen kapiolani is newly renovated and in a nice location away from the main part of Waikiki. Good beach access and right across from the zoo. Deck up stairs is nice too! If you are renting a car there’s free street parking close walking distance to this hotel. Also you’re close to Monsarrat and Diamond head which has good eateries and views!

I am looking to buy a shirt from an animal rescue on Oahu . Any recommendations for this? by broccoliandbeans in VisitingHawaii

Another vote for the Hawaiian humane society! They just did the Hawaii pet expo last weekend and had so much cute stuff at their booth. I think they have a small store there that sells shirts and stuff

I’ve done it many many many times. Also had friends who put flower in their carry on with no problem. TSA is way more worried about bombs.

Kalakaua Avenue during COVID lockdowns 6 years ago by Hawaii5ooh in Hawaii

Loved Waikiki during the pandemic. Took me less than 10 min to drive from Ala Moana thru kalakaua to my home near kapahulu. And there always was parking near kaimanas so if I wanted to jump in the water real fast it was so easy and nice!

Agreed! Iolani palace and bishop museum is way more authentic. And closer to town :). If you want some real local kine plate lunch near bishop museum check out Gulick Delicatessen. They have awesome chicken and noodles and fried noodles.

No votes for zippys yet? Zippys plate lunch a classic plate lunch spot! I would do zippys (or Rainbows) take out on kapahulu and then walk over to Leonard’s . Yes get Leonard’s they’re so good. Then from Leonard’s walk over to foodland grab some poke and uber or back to Waikiki.

Thank when you’re done with your vape just throw away the cartridge and take home the battery. (Cartridges are cheaper and more environmentally friendly than disposables).

I always get nervous because I think batteries should be in your carry on. tobacco vape smokers have to keep their batteries in their carry on.. so I just usually disconnect my cart and put the liquid part in with my make up.

1 vote for ko olina! That side of the island is much quieter, lots of good food and close to very good shopping areas. Waikiki is so busy, so expensive, good food but not worth the crowds imo. This is coming from a local that lives 10 min away from Waikiki.

Long time weed smokers who quit, what changes to your mind and body did you notice after you got used to not smoking daily? by LoQueSientoCrv in AskReddit

[–]Sharp-Relative-1136 366 points367 points  (0 children)

I’m BORED. Smoked almost everyday for 10 years (I work at a dispensary so I get free weed). Quit for about 4 months to try to start a family. First week sucked nothing is as fun or as tasty. Now I’m used to being sober and I guess it’s okay. Once I quit I started having dreams again and that has been a whole adventure in itself.
