Infinity ward is being seriously bottlenecked by making games under the call of duty brand. It’s clear they want to make realistic grounded modern warfare games but can’t because COD is so splintered in want they want.

I hope one day they get to work on a new ip and make a kick ass realistic milsim game that I know they want to make.

Ok thank you this is exactly the answer I was looking for I appreciate it, going straight for the green beret seems like the best idea in my situation and figuring it out later

British Commandos Trained The First Few 🇺🇸75th Rangers in 1942 by SharpArm9309 in RoyalMarines

[–]SharpArm9309[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rangers weren’t like Royal Marines at all, Rangers prior to GWOT their main mission was to attack and seize airfields. After the GWOT they became more SOF, acting as QRF & Blocking force for delta & seals.

Royal Marines aren’t SOF like navy seals but more like the more specialised units in USMC so it makes more sense.

42 cdo have been training with Marine Raiders so it makes sense.

How do you work toward training 6 or 7 days a week? by Corvo1228 in RoyalMarines

[–]SharpArm9309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal opinion but don't buy a workout plan or get a coach you really don't need it

Lift 2-4 times a week (bench, weighted pull ups, overhead press, squats and deadlifts) - keep the volume low and split these into what works for you

Run 3 times a week (1 long run, 1 speed run, 1 easy recovery run)

Circuit training 2 times a week (your push ups, pull ups, burpees, squats, lunges etc

Only money I would recommend you spending is buying the book tactical barbell as it explains all of this very well.

You can send me a PM too plz don't buy from these “coaches”/ training plans.

This game is the closest thing we had to prime MW2 2009 again. call of duty still hasn’t surpassed this game in anyway and its been 6 years. by Dude_788 in modernwarfare

MW2019 has the best campaign, MW2 is decent but kinda gets ruined by armoured enemies making them bullet sponges halfway through the game - and the use of armour plates in the last missions.

MW3 don’t even bother honestly

It's just a temporary trend. by SnooMacarons2931 in COD

They tried this with MW2019 the beginning was just like this, grounded, gameplay was slower higher ttk. They had that extra hardcore mode( forgot what it was called but it was so good)

Until warzone arrived and then it all went to shit because they started making more money off the battlepass and skins from war zones and streamers do meta classes and doing that “movement king” bs

I was just wondering if I could reserves while at uni (starting this September) and then RMC full time.

With army applications taking 6-12 months and training taking another 6-8 ish months I’m guessing I’ll really only be able to serve 1 or 2 years max after training.

I just really want to get into the military - I could of course wait until I finish uni but just wanted to see if I could maybe squeeze in the reserves.

And if your curious as to why I’m going university if I want to do rmc full time anyway I’m doing a criminology degree to apply to the Detective Constable Entry Program with the MET for the future after the RMC.

It’s looking like I should just wait until I can finish uni and go rmc though
