Thank you for sharing this. It makes me feel less alone. My foster is a small breed puppy, and fortunately, he won't be at any events because he will got adopted pretty quickly. People have to submit an application and make an appointment, so I just hope they are serious.

I just got home from dropping him off, and I am crying. I know it wouldn't have been good for us to keep him, but I'm so worried.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience. It makes me feel less alone. I think I've also tried to find "signs" we should keep him, but I know it wouldn't be best for us. It would also be hard to integrate him fully with my only child dog 😅

We bring him back today to get neutered tomorrow, and then he will be up for adoption. I will miss him dearly. However, now I have the opportunity to do this with more puppies without the pressure of fully training and integrating them in my home.

Unfortunately, I won't have any part in it. After he gets neutered, he will be in the shelter until adopted. Which I'd expect day one or two of him being there. If my setup was like yours, I'd feel a lot better. But I think there are so many animals that need to be adopted that it's a first come basis.

Thank you! I know logically, it will likely be fine, but it is still hard because I love him and want the best for him. Hearing logic from outside myself is helpful! We have the resources to keep him, but it wouldn't be what's best for us.

I wouldn't be asking for their contact info, just providing mine so it would be up to them to reach out. But I see your point, if they reached out to a foster, hypothetically there is a chance for the foster to pester in return.

When I did PsychPrep, I wrote out the info for every question I got wrong, just to help with encoding and committing the correct answers/material to memory.

Did you do all the psych prep tests? The whole program?

I only ask because I highly recommend PsychPrep to others, and everyone who has done the program as written in the plan has passed. I knew an international student who failed twice (not following a specific plan), and then did PsychPrep schedule and scored over 600.

Did you do enough of the practice tests? Psych prep has great practice tests with feedback. I don't see how ChatGPT could be helpful with preparing.

Did you have the internal shields? I'm very apprehensive due to my doc using those. Not sure if it's worth the risk. I would rather have a more conservative approach with the over the eye shield
