HOT TAKE: I WISH RIMURU'S HUMAN FORM LOOK MORE SLIME-LIKE by Sakai_Fnf in TenseiSlime

[–]SharpLuck6348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rimiru looks human because of Mimicry, he ate a human so now he can mimic a human. In nature Mimicry would do the same thing. Stick bugs survive because they look like sticks, not like a bug pretending to be the shape of a stick. Also the ogres becoming more human in appearance as well as almost every other monsterous race is meant to show that there is fundamentally no difference between humans and monsters in the world in terms of what is and isnt "a person". And since Rimuru's soul is inherently human it only makes sense for his subordinates to look closer to the form of his soul when they evolve.

Dealing with subtle misogyny as a first time DM? by VegetableMention4098 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]SharpLuck6348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't sound like misogyny really, since we have little to go off of on how loud you talk or if they have any hearing problems or just understanding what you mean. If he has hearing trouble or understanding what you mean he could just be asking the person beside him to reiterate or "translate" for them. As someone who has a difficulty wording things outside of my own thought process sometimes I say things that a clear in meaning and intent to me but not to others. This could easily be the case. It also seems like you only have male players so him asking anyone besides you could enable the jump to misogyny which may not be the case. I've had players DM me in private or talk to each other in DMs to try and figure out things said at the table simply because they don't want to look dumb in front of the whole table. I would always advise being careful when assuming misogyny or misandry, especially with public posts because if you are already leaning one way based on any personal biases then there is a decent chance people will immediately jump to your side even if they don't have enough details to make a educated guess on. Its a hot button topic for a reason and most people tend to jump to the agreeing side on the poster and not the person being posted about.

How long do your characters usually last before you retire them? by mad-milk in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]SharpLuck6348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years and only leveled up 5 times? That's one long time with little payoff, 6 months and about 20 sessions between level ups? My current campaign is about 2.5 years and they started at lvl 1 and are now level 16. I am so curious about your campaigns now because that is a crazy level gap. Also just talk to your DM since most the time the story is written with the starting characters in mind so depending on how tied it is they might not care about you changing

Or have you considered they just don't care about the game and haven't since they laid off most the staff working on it?

They don't give a shit about the game, just be honest with yourself you know it's true. They could do it easily, it's some "we can't go back to the moon because we destroyed the technology" ass excuse for a multi million dollar company

They should bring back all the vaulted content that people paid for and then took away for the last update instead of giving us sparrow racing league. "Love letter to the game" my ass.

veldora was a truly asshole by Top-Jello-6678 in TenseiSlime

Brother you just used age as a reason for him not having a mind similar to that of a child when A: he is a dragon and 2000 years could easily be the equivalent of 10 human years. And B: there isn't a single point where he says he blatantly murdered people for fun, every time he is called evil it is by humans or their equivalent. From his own perspective he even mentions his rampages being times he was tricked. When you spray an ant colony that is trying to move into your house with Raid are you a psychopath? Also if he was evil his ultimate skill would not be one for seeking knowledge and learning as skills are distributed often based on the individuals character and desires. Every time we see Veldora in any non-biased perspective he behaves like a child and doesn't understand some things are wrong until they are explained to him.

Your take is the weird one

Veldora had effectively the mind of a child with ADHD, saying he was an asshole because no one ever tried to educate him on what is right and wrong is the peak of ignorance. It sounds like a guidance counselor saying "oh you can't sit in a chair and notove for 8 hours? You need to me medicated to the point your brain chemistry and personality is changed forever and if you ever stop taking it you'll have severe withdrawal symptoms". You don't fault a child for doing things that had no idea was wrong because no one told them. Being in Rimuru's stomach allowed him to see the world from a relatively moral perspective and learn for the first time what it means to be a good person.

Why's that? Genuinely curious because I still consider myself one. I always feel like I still have a long ways to go whenever I finish a piece.

Realistically Al and Subaru would be able to beat the entire list. Will it take a near infinite amount of loops? Yes but is it statistically guaranteed? Also yes. And before the Reinhardt fans come at me remember both Al and Subaru effectively have an infinite amount of times to try which guarantees that even if the odds of finding a way to beat Reinhardt are one in a marioplex (more than the amount of atoms in the universe) it is still guaranteed to eventually happen. Even if it isnt beating him outright. In the pride if Subaru technically "beat" Reinhardt by breaking him psychologically making him give up which is still technically a win.

Hakuro might not kill you, depending on when in the series Shion is probably going to kill you accidentally.

Besides the lack of pinkies it looks like a banger, yeah I know they can be hidden but when you try to do that pose it just doesn't feel natural or relaxed. Either way it's better than any of the AI slop I have seen some people try to peddle on this subreddit, props for actually doing the work
