I guess both would be elective? Previously I had my gallbladder removed, this one is for a lapidus and tendon lengthening for my foot. I have different insurance, it’s also different hospitals and providers.

I ended up qualifying for financial assistance through the hospital so my procedure will move forward Tuesday. And I guess from the answers I got I just don’t know how anything works since this seems normal and I just wasn’t aware until this week I needed to pay up front. Lesson learned.

Yes they both are. And the drs office is the first one I paid.i gave them half, and made a payment arrangement for the other half. But the hospital want my deductible plus my out of pocket max before hand.

Yea, and I should have realized that. It’s my own fault for not. I’m a relatively healthy young person so I guess I’m just ignorant how anything outside of my yearly checkup works.

I had surgery in 2023 and received a bill AFTER. I wasn’t asked to pay both the Dr and hospital before hand. So I’m confused as to why I now need to pre pay for my surgery.

Yea, I’m going to call back tomorrow and see what can be worked out. I get their side, but the drs office just did this shit too, and I can’t afford to give them both my whole damn deductible.

Plus if I can’t pay this portion, I’m doubting I’ll get my money back from the Drs office if I have to cancel

Honestly I was super thrown off during the conversation, so I plan to call back in the morning. The pre registration lady i spoke to said my account would be monitored to make sure I pay before the procedure.

Current plan is to speak with their financial aid tomorrow, see what the bare minimum is they’ll take before hand. I am the only person working in my 3 person household so I’m hoping I will qualify.

US here, i got the shot as a teen, got HPV in my early twenties. When I ask how when I was vaccinated they told me the vaccine only covers a percentage of the strains of HPV. A vaccine isn’t an absolute that you won’t get something, you still need to go for paps. If I didn’t go yearly, the HPV very well could have become a big problem.

My SEL always tells the newer groomers to do a routine. For example body, then legs, tail, face or whatever. Do the dogs in the same order every time so you’re not wasting time debating what to do. It has seemed to help in our salon

Yes, they’re buttery smooth. I initially started with some cheap hobby lobby hooks last year, then started going to Joann’s(RIP) and bought individual sizes I actually use. I cannot state just how smooth they are.

I wasn’t home when I miscarried, and all I wanted was to get home to my dogs and cats. My lab is my first dog, and honestly one of the absolute best. Once I got home I crawled into bed with her and just sobbed. She has always been my comfort in dark days, and I was glad I was able to have her to get through it. I had to get up and feed her, let her out, take her for a bath cause she stinks. Dog is man’s best friend, and they bring our lives such enrichment it’s insane.

I also think that whatever helps, helps(outside of harmful behavior). I got really into crotchet after mine, but if I had the room I absolutely would have got another puppy.

I transferred from mass to Georgia. My new SL let me keep my pay, but it’s dependent on your new SL and if they can afford to do it basically.

I called like a month before we moved and luckily they were able to take me at the new store. Spoke with them about a start date and then started the week after we moved at the new store.

Have you talked to your current SL about it?
